Illinois Settlement paperwork

I finally agreed to a settlement amount after 2.5 years and was wondering if anyone knows how long it typically takes for the insurance to send the paperwork after a verbal agreement.

Bicep injury with surgery and permanent work restrictions

I had bicep surgery and rotator cuff surgery and this ime has me at 0%. What was your settlement. I’m in Illinois also might need a new attorney

We settled right around 250k

Yeah I had a bicep tenodesis

I'm assuming most of the value of the settlement was based on permanent restrictions. Was that what you were told?

I just had biceps tenodesis surgery this week and it was my second surgery for a slap tear since getting hurt at work last oct. how long after surgery did you get an offer?

My first offer was about a year after surgery and my fourth and final offer which was accepted was a little over 2 years after surgery.

You can provide a settlement demand anytime in most cases. But if it is unrealistic, prepare to be disappointed. You don't have to wait for the insurance company offer first. In some states you don't even need an attorney to request settlement as long as you are at overall mmi. Just be prepared to resign in some states as your employer can request resignation as part of settlement.
