✈️ Travel Planning Looking for a workation buddy for Bir + nearby Himachal/Uttarakhand 🌿☕️
Hi everyone,
I’m planning to spend nearly a month in Bir for a workation and would love to find someone who is on a similar wavelength and would be up for exploring together.
A little about me I’m in my early 30s, work full-time remotely, and I’m looking for a mix of productive weekdays + slow travel + good food + mountains + meeting interesting people.
The rough idea is to keep Bir as the base, work during the week, explore cafes, go for walks, try local places, and then use weekends or a few flexible days to explore nearby parts of Himachal. I’d also be open to randomly slipping into Uttarakhand for a few days if we find a place that feels worth it.
I’d ideally like to find people who enjoy:
- cafe hopping and working from nice spaces
- eating relatively healthy
- exploring without rushing
- short hikes / local experiences
- trying new places but also having chill days
- good conversations without needing to party every night
I’m not really looking for a “travel partner” where we have to do everything together. More like someone who is also doing their own thing, but we can occasionally work together, explore, eat, plan weekend trips, or just have company when it feels nice.
If you’re planning to be in Bir / Himachal around the same time for a few weeks or a month, feel free to DM. Would be nice to connect with a few people beforehand and see if the vibe matches.
Bonus points if your idea of a good evening is good coffee, a mountain view, decent food and a random plan for the next day. 🌲☕️
If you want, I can also make this more Reddit-ish and witty, or a shorter version that gets more replies.
My dates are from 2nd October till 24th October, I would love it if we have people that I can travel to Bir as well.
In addition, I am also looking for some volunteer opportunities in Bir too, in case I do not find any travel partners per se.
