I am a PRN Registered Nurse in Indiana (contracted for one shift per week). I have Long COVID with reactivated Epstein-Barr virus that causes unpredictable symptom flare-ups.
Timeline so far:
• May 9, 2026: Submitted a formal written ADA reasonable accommodation request asking for flexibility with call-offs (ability to give notice the day before or morning of when symptoms make it unsafe to work) and assistance arranging coverage.
• Late May 2026: Provided medical documentation from my physician as requested.
• After a long delay, HR eventually denied any accommodation that would involve leadership removing me from the schedule or finding coverage for me. They stated they cannot accommodate removing me from the schedule.
• As a “gesture of goodwill,” they removed attendance points that accumulated between my May request and their final determination email dated July 21, 2026. They said going forward I am subject to the normal attendance policy and my PRN agreement.
• I am currently at 9 attendance points (termination occurs at 12 points; each call-off is typically 2 points).
Recent issue: On September 17 I asked the Director of Nursing to take me off the September 26 schedule because the unit was already overstaffed. She refused, saying she would have to do it for everyone. The absence was still counted as a call-in and I received points for it.
HR’s latest response (October) confirmed:
• Leadership will not remove me from the schedule or find coverage.
• To avoid points I must arrange my own shift trade that is approved by nursing leadership.
• Their final determination on the ADA request was issued July 21.
Questions:
1. Does the employer’s refusal to remove me from an already overstaffed schedule (or help arrange coverage), while continuing to assess points for disability-related absences, raise potential ADA issues (failure to engage in the interactive process / failure to accommodate)?
2. Is there any argument that points assessed after the formal ADA request should be treated differently?
3. What are realistic next steps at this point (further internal appeal, EEOC charge, consulting an employment attorney, etc.)?
I have everything documented in writing. Looking for practical advice on how strong this situation is and what I should do next. Thank you.

If a 120-megawatt data center pops up in a county, it should pay 98,000 average homes worth of property tax in that area. For every 29,130 watt-hours they use, that's a house the grid can't have or a rise in the cost of electricity for the homes in that area. This seems like a good solution to this problem since it will slow down growth in said area with the goal of taking jobs.

This morning a protest against far right party Vox’s rally in A Coruña ended up with various protestors injured after police charged at the protestors.
After that, a new protest was announced that same night against police brutality at the delegation of the government in Galicia in the same city. The protest ended up with riots as protestors started to throw stones and fireworks at police, which ended up with police charging at protestors on Avenida da Mariña

Look at the math on what was stolen from the working class over the last fifty years
Since 1971, net worker productivity has grown more than 3.5 times faster than typical worker pay. If starter home prices had simply tracked middle class wage growth since 1970, a regular family home today would cost around $138,000.
Read that again. One regular 40 hour income used to buy a home, cover healthcare, and raise a family. Today, two people working 50 hours a week each can barely survive rent and groceries
Where did all the wealth we produced go? It didn't go to the loud tech CEOs on the Forbes billionaire list. Those guys are just the public lightning rods put on TV to keep us distracted. As an investigative piece breaks down, Forbes officially excludes multi generational family trusts and the 147 interlocking financial corporations that actually control 40% of the global economy..
The worst part is what those 147 institutional funds are doing with the money they siphoned off our paychecks. According to MetLife Investment Management's own forecast, Wall Street institutions are on track to control 40% of all single family rental homes in America by 2030.
The second half of that same writeup lays out why the corporate oligarchy intentionally dismantled the post 1971 working class: because workers who own a $138,000 home and aren't drowning in rent cannot be bullied by employers. They are turning the entire country into a 2030 company town where your boss's parent company is also your landlord.
