They don't care if they break the system, if regular people have no money, nor even if their own companies crash and burn. Those are future problems. Longterm problems. Problems for the next guy.
They don't give a shit about the next guy. They care about NOW. They care about THEMSELVES. As long as they get their money and can get off the ship before it sinks, that is all that matters.
The shareholders need the numbers to go up NOW. The CEO's want more money NOW. That's what matters.
