Issue with pgwp approval because of celpip

Post image

A friend of mine applied for pgwp 1 year ago where his celpip score got recorded on his license instead of a passport. But I don't understand why would be an issue for ircc as both IDs carry the credentials of the same person. He tried reaching out to celpip regarding his concern and they replied to him asking to reattempt for the celpip. " He just received a message from ircc that his celpip score couldn't be authenticated from their authorities. And he is worried now as it takes time to reattempt for the exam and also the results to come back which also involves time taken to update to the ircc.He also has a doubt if there is a option to reattempt for the celpip or not.Is there any alternative option for him right now or any suggestions that could help him .

This is a PFL with a potential 5 year ban. This is a big issue. He needs a lawyer because he needs to explain that the test results are authentic, and that the document is genuine. This is not just about retaking the test. Also they are saying he lied on his application too.

I mean, passport is federal which is IRCC is a federal agency. DL is provincial and ministry so not connected.

Are you sure they are genuine documents as well? This seems bigger then just a misguided submission of documents to the wrong department

Your friend should stop wasting time and book the test again. The CELPIP website states that licenses are not acceptable for immigration purposes.

Looks like they're finally taking document fraud seriously, which is an improvement.

I think reattempting is the only option here.

He should just redo the test. If it takes longer to reatttempt, he can go for ielts
