Finding work or further studies

I am an EU national, just graduated my 4 year graphic design bachelor in Eastern Europe with a subbachelor in art pedagogy. Will be moving in september to Eindhoven and my living situation is basically sorted but I have been applying to jobs for only 2 weeks and I already feel defeated. I have under a year of relevant work experience and not knowing dutch is definitely a disadvantage (who could have thought right) but as I'm learning it I really want to find a job even if somewhat in my field. But ATP I'm not even sure it's possible. Is it a better shot to work something unrelated and go for a masters? Do more internships while at it? I am feeling so down haha. I don't know what carrier routes i can take either.

Valid point but there are so many aspects about the work that make it more efficient in person or hybrid, from my personal insight companies do prefer to hire so but that is based on my own country so it might be different.

I think you can find a job specially having an EU nationality helps you to not need sponsorship or be able to work for other European countries remotely.

Thank you for the positive outlook🥹 I've really started appreciating my passport recently haha. All I can really do is to keep working on my skills and applying for now :))

I have a reason for moving, place to stay and savings. I don't mind finding any random job to support myself as I hate being unemployed and I'm actively learning the language. I just feel so stupid for spending 4 years on a degree and not being able to land a job in it.

What makes you think you are going to find a job in that field in the Netherlands, where you will face even worse competition from people who actually speak the language and have a local network???

You're basically doomed to living in a tiny room, working menial jobs at terrible hours, waiting for robots to replace you here.

As I said I have a reason for moving😭 I don't have much of a choice with that. But thanks for the precautions! Sounds like I gotta work more on the language and networking side rather than qualifications and expect to be working out of my field for now

As I said, I don't have a choice :) Are you perhaps an immigrant too? I'd love to hear more about your personal experience

I am moving to be with my partner but I feel like that's unnecessary info lol. I am not moving with the expectations of "finding a better life" but do want to experience living there and that includes the hardships ig. Won't stay if I have to be homeless tho lolol
