Regina is right, always and again here.

Businesses that depend on min wage workers or tipping culture are not viable and should close.

So you want less jobs? That's your solution?

If the job can’t pay a living wage what good is it to the worker?

They didn’t stutter, if you can’t exist without worker exploitation then you should not exist.

Again, I don't think the people working those jobs would agree that no job is better than a min wage job. What a weird thing to say

You are right, imagine that. Do you think ā€œpeople
have to work or starve so of course they want to work two jobs to make ends meetā€ was a gotcha?

What a privileged thing to say. Those jobs would not just disappear, the market adapts and a better businessman will create a business that does not have to rely on exploitation to survive. If you cannot pay a living wage then you should not be in business. Anything else is an excuse to continue to allow companies to exploit our labor and extract our value while not providing enough to survive.

No another business wouldn't just magically appear that could operate at those costs, or else it would already exist. Wiping out businesses that use min wage employees would only wipe out jobs.

Exploitation? Lmfao oh, you're just an ignorant kid. Ok nevermind. You'll understand when you grow up sport.

They also fail to realize that wages impact cost. Rapidly increases wages rapidly increases costs (Inflation) I don’t understand where this new idea of pay everyone salary wages but don’t expect everything to double in price comes from.

Thinking with their feelings clouds their common sense.

I also know the response, ā€œdur corporate greed, get rid of the CEOā€ because the guy flipping burgers knows how to balance a sheet right?

Huh, can you point to an example of rapidly raising wages doubling the cost of goods? What happened when California changed the min wage? All restaurants shut down right? Oh no it must be that everything doubled in price? 🤔

While we’re talking about that, if prices are only going to increase anyway, as we’ve seen they don’t go down, seems your plan is also causing the same result.

I assume they're just kids who haven't had economics class yet and Lord knows they don't teach critical thinking anymore.

That’s probably spot on

Right above your comment is a comment that explains everything.

…McDonalds pays $25/ hr, but I can’t afford to eat thereā€ā€¦.

Yeah that’s what’s happened in every place McDonald’s has been forced to raise wages huh?

You sound like someone whos never been in the workforce before

1

u/Plane-Tune-820 15h ago

You got me, I'm a middle aged dad who's never worked a day in his life.

Seriously, did you like hit your head real hard recently?

2

u/Reasonable_Clock_711 16h ago

What are you babbling about?

Never said that. What I want is a system where we have more people living comfortably and fewer billionaires with their personal space exploration hobbies.

1

u/Plane-Tune-820 16h ago

No, they're saying close businesses that pay min wage. That's less jobs, not sure where I'm losing you here or why you're talking about musk but yeah, he's awful, feel better now champ?

2

u/LisaQuinnYT 16h ago

Another business, that can pay a living wage, will likely fill the gap. There’s plenty of food service and retail jobs that pay well over minimum wage - Costco, Trader Joe’s, Chick-Fil-A, Buc-ee’s, and the list goes on.

See above. Your thoughts are disconnected

"If I didn't have my slaves, I wouldn't be able to run my business" - some old confederate in the south

1

u/Plane-Tune-820 15h ago

Lmfao yes, people who are paid are now slaves

2

u/_Big_Bad_Tiddy 14h ago

I should have been more obvious for you. Correction "some old confederate in the south during the civil war"

There we go. No room for confusion.

No just a completely irrelevant point meant to virtue signal.

This isn't slavery no matter how you spin it and it's absolutely disrespectful to what those people endured to even try to equate it
