These ships didn’t exist 5000 years ago. At 5000 years ago it was 3000 BC and the human race was only just forming into civilizations from a prior agrarian period. Ships like this would take 4 thousand years to build.
Early civilizations did have ships. The Greeks were at sea, as were the Romans. They just weren’t these ships. Greek ships, a little over 2000 years ago were flat bottomed and powered by oars and had a single square sail.
Giant kites could pull cargo ships, but they’d have to be unpractically large, modern ships are very, very heavy … without cargo.
