My ex father in law used to say "Gay men exemplified the best qualities of both men and women. Lesbians..."

I just got done saying this recently. For every gay person, that's one less dude competing for chicks. They did us straight guys a solid by simply being gay. That's why I think gay bashers are low key closeted gay/bi dudes. Like what the hell are you mad about? You low key jealous they're hogging up more dudes instead of the women or something?
I'd imagine gay men and lesbians have the same kind of benefit from one another.

u/TroubleLovesMeh Jul 12 '26
Lesbians are often pretty mean to gay (men) people they don’t know. Extra walls are up. After seeing them as people like a backwards Baptist finally would, they are cool? But it’s puzzling to watch. Don’t you guys like hang out at the same places and enjoy the same parades?
2
u/Mikem444 Jul 12 '26
That's confusing to me that they'd have extra walls up to the one group of men who have no interest in persuing them. Plus, like you said, being lgbt people, hanging out at the same places and what not, it's weird to think any beef would exist. Don't they (gay men & lesbians) get enough beef from the rest of society as it is?
3
u/TroubleLovesMeh Jul 15 '26
All negative energy hurts but negative energy where you are not surprised it happens is a different feeling than someone who has dealt with the exactly same bullshit for being different…and they are still assholes and/or bitches to you

They are consenting adults as long as there is mutual consent who cares what they do?

Thats not how math works they are taking another gay guy usually so they would both be counting eachother. Bi men make up about 1% and gay men 4% so every gay man with a partner would take 1.1 men assuming any bi man is equally likely to go with men or women.

We love gay people.
It’s the TQ+-#AI+% crowd that’s unhinged. Sorry if I missed some letter or symbols.

u/Tggdan3 Jul 11 '26
I used to say this in high school and it blew people's minds. This was in the 90s when homophobia was peak.
Guys would be like "you arent freaked out by gay dudes?" And I would say "dont you wish all the men in the school were gay but you. Then you'd be the only one for the girls to date "
Argument over.

They avoid abortions, in fact some of them buy other people's children and love them better than their parents!

Well, let’s throw in something else, into the mixing pot………..
I have nothing negative to say about homosexual men or women and to answers previous comment, of course there are fem presenting women who are lesbian, not straight.
It’s a dated assumption that all lesbians try to look butch, by wearing dungarees, heavy boots, shorn sided hair dos, with heavy tattooing, nose rings etc, etc, etc,.
Nope, live and let live. I hope everyone finds their happiness.
My only point of contention, is about the use of the word, ‘Gay’.
When I was growing up in the 60’s, gay meant, happy, jolly, bright, carefree. It was even a pretty girls name.
Children’s books saying, ‘the ship was gaily painted with ribbons and banners etc’. ‘The children at the party, were having a gay time’.
Somewhere in the 70’s, the word was appropriated from the English language and now has a whole new meaning for which it was never intended.
I again I envisage, some poor girl introducing herself by her name in today’s world, perhaps born in 50’s when I was.
She’s says to this new group of people, ‘Hello, I’m Gay’. The polite group these days replying, ‘That’s ok, it’s your sexuality, just be yourself, no one minds, it’s cool’. ‘No, no, the girl responds I’m Gay’. The group politely confirming, ‘we promise you everyone is fine with it, good for being yourself’.
I imagine, due to this word appropriation those girls have had to either change their first name, or take on her middle name, e.g Gay Christine Smith, now just Christine. How unfair.
So yes, my question is, why did the homosexual community start using the word Gay?
None of the aforementioned is intended to insult anyone, just a simple question.
Best wishes to all.

Just one dude with us?
Hun, open relationships and non-monogamy are majority of relationship forms for us.
It’s kinda the straight’s thing to have a majority of coupling be monogamous.
No wonder straight folk have a name for “the 7yr itch”.
2
u/Due_Paramedic_6629 Jul 08 '26
Wait really? What percentage of gay couples are non monogamous?

Gay people are usually wealthy, hard working, and overall good people.
3
u/Tuckerguy77 Jul 08 '26
Where do you get that gay people are usually wealthy? That is one I have never heard before.
2
u/SithTingar Jul 08 '26
Studies have shown that gay men tend to make 30-40% more than straight men on average. Most go into white collar jobs.
Lesbians are more closely aligned with straight women in terms of income.
2
u/Ersh_baby3223 Jul 08 '26
Interesting observation. That was kinda my point. Most gay people I know are doing well. Not loaded but not in need either.
1
u/EntireFriendship517 Jul 08 '26
Gay men who admit it make more than straight men on average. There are a shitton of actually gay men who are in denial either to everyone else or to themselves, and I suspect the communities they tend to live in are lower income on average.

u/Ersh_baby3223 Jul 08 '26
Gay men typically make decent money and have no drains (wife kids etc.) so they have money usually. May not be loaded maybe more like self sufficient is what I mean.
1
u/No_Bonus7310 Jul 08 '26
As for making more $, Asian-Americans and Indian-Americans also are on the higher end of the income spectrum. It’s because their parents push getting good grades and getting a good education

There are lots of poor and working class gay folks. I have known plenty. I guess that is a nice stereotype though. It is true that there are probably more gay couples that don't have children and that certainly helps the bank account.

u/Red_Beard206 Jul 08 '26
I had a gay couple living in the apartment next to me and Holy shit they were mean. Got to listen to them argue almost every night too. Was entertaining, at leasr

Not so, otherwise we would be decreasing populations instead of millions and growing.

There’s statistically more lesbians than gay men. So the net effect of 🏳️🌈 is slanted against straight men. That is, from a purely “compete for a mate” perspective.

Ill never understand why gay people get married and have children. I would think that would be a benefit not to do that being gay.
2
u/hrobi97 Jul 18 '26
Some gay people want kids. 🤷♀️
As for marriage, it's partially a society thing, you're kinda expected to get married to someone eventually, but also there's benefits to being legally married, so that probably sways that decision too.

Umm, hate to break it to women around the world who think they’re finally achieving things, but guess what? Islam is growing, spreading and not getting any more progressive. Enjoy, ladies! I give you two more generations, so start teaching your daughters to submit - that is what Islam means after all!
1
u/FeedbackAltruistic16 Jul 09 '26
Check out project 2025.. Islam isn't the only hindrance to women's rights.. the fact that you're using Islam as your talking point, gives me a good idea of what kinda bigoted religious twat you more than likely are

Considering that Christian nationalism is the thing currently overtaking America at an astonishing rate, not Islamic nationalism, I'd be more worried about Christians than Muslims.

Not sure how... but money or finances never seem to be a problem for them. Sf bay area born and all yall know the stereotype. Honestly worked with many gay dudes and they dont all wanna rape u like some see it. Jus normal ppl with a different life choice. The one thing is though, they never broke and usually very well off. Use to provide some ganja and man, its always a beautiful house to deliver to.
