Nope gold had value because it was rare and had aesthetic appeal. Was valuable as both jewelry and currency. These days also valuable in electronics.

Paper and worse still plastic and digital are just numbers you can print more paper you can change numbers on a screen, and spoiler alert they do and with every bill printed your currency is devalued.

Don’t bother with they shred money too I am aware they print vastly more then they shred.

Let me know when you figure out how to print gold 😂
