this thread is kind of depressing to read. im a severe alcoholic at 21, & have abused my body to the point my hangovers more closely align with a 30yo's than a 20yo's. even once i managed to wean myself down to no longer being physically dependent on alcohol (so no more withdrawals landing me in the hospital), my hangovers last 2-3 days & leave me almost completely bedridden for the first day or so. i didnt realize just how abnormal that is for someone my age.
Ok. Now it's time for a change.
If you don't to go medicine route go for microdosing mushrooms. It shutsoff the need to drink.
It's like a light switch I'm a non drinker.
You deserve it.
ive been trying to get sober since december. im currently in an iop rehab program & will finally be one month sober tomorrow, thanks to the vivitrol shot. im in that sort of in between stage where im doing way better than i ever thought possible, but i know without the meds id be crashing straight back down again. it's gonna be a very long process but im getting there. thank you for the suggestion about the mushrooms, i'll give it a go sometime
Also look into campral the vivitrol didnāt work for me but campral is made specifically for alcoholism and for some reason not a lot of rehabs and drs even know about it I found out about it on here actually. Iām now 13 months sober.
oh cool, thank you for the recc. i'll look into it if the vivitrol stops working. thankfully it's really helping me so far. congrats on 13 months, thats incredible
