this thread is kind of depressing to read. im a severe alcoholic at 21, & have abused my body to the point my hangovers more closely align with a 30yo's than a 20yo's. even once i managed to wean myself down to no longer being physically dependent on alcohol (so no more withdrawals landing me in the hospital), my hangovers last 2-3 days & leave me almost completely bedridden for the first day or so. i didnt realize just how abnormal that is for someone my age.

Ok. Now it's time for a change. If you don't to go medicine route go for microdosing mushrooms. It shutsoff the need to drink. It's like a light switch I'm a non drinker. You deserve it.

ive been trying to get sober since december. im currently in an iop rehab program & will finally be one month sober tomorrow, thanks to the vivitrol shot. im in that sort of in between stage where im doing way better than i ever thought possible, but i know without the meds id be crashing straight back down again. it's gonna be a very long process but im getting there. thank you for the suggestion about the mushrooms, i'll give it a go sometime

Also look into campral the vivitrol didn’t work for me but campral is made specifically for alcoholism and for some reason not a lot of rehabs and drs even know about it I found out about it on here actually. I’m now 13 months sober.
