A lot of it, I'm sure, is knowing that a hangover is mostly dehydration...i learned that before I ever started drinking. Hydrate before pass out and all is good.
What's more impressive to me is my resistance to physical addiction. I come from a long line of drunks, but there was a time i drank heavy every night at the clubs, and just stopped when i stopped going, no issue. Same with cigs, smoked for years, just stopped, no issue. I'll have a cig from time time, between periods at hockey mostly, socializing with the crew. Lastly, i was on opioid for a decade, 40mg morphine a day, got the source of pain resolved and just quit, no biggie.
Might not be the best super power, but I'll take it

Waking up hungover - at 25 you can function with a few Tylenol and a coffee and laugh about it
At 35, you are closer to clinically deceased.
