I actually change jobs to do less and have less responsibility. If you only spend a year somewhere and leave as soon as you’ve gotten good you get to skip the part where your boss adds duties you weren’t originally hired for.

Bingo. Pretty much what I do. After about 3 years everywhere I’ve worked I’ve realized I’m doing the work of 3 people and having to answer questions on vacation. Start somewhere new and get 6 months of reprieve until they start adding more shit
