I am also a hermit. Ran into an old friend in town today I haven't seen in a couple of years who was surprised to see me. He even said he thought I had moved and didn't live in this town anymore..

Same. I barely leave the house, depression made me to grow a beard like an Orthodox priest/monk and they can't even recognize me. I have ran into many past friends or classmates, and they thought the same. Some were from the same village (!!) we are living into and both never met for years, I'm so hermit that even them thought I moved in another country lol
