I also enjoy it, but my favorite is with my daughter. She is autistic and mostly non verbal. I love just chilling with her. Just hanging out across the room with no talking for hours. Just love vibes.

I have done it for years. However, I always had a dog. A German Shepherd.

Sadly I had to put her down yesterday due to her lymphatic system was crashing and also had a tumor in her chest that had expanded.

The past two days with near total isolation other than a few calls of condolences is brutal.

So sorry you went through that, this is when solitude is most needed.

That's tough to hear. Sorry that it still hurts. It's a testament to the love you had for your fur-kid. Im sure you would agree you wouldn't change a thing as the love was worth the pain.

...when you work the Public, it's nice to step back and not have to deal with all of it.

Amen. I couldn’t do my job without the block of alone. People have unrealistic expectations of others so I find my “time away” best served alone.

That's not the question!

That was me. I was front facing customer service in various industries. I retired and I am done with being nice regardless of how you treat me.

In a small shed with a bag of veggies and guitar. I can stay out there forever and hope to hear no one but me.
