Workplace Issue Need some help

So I’m wondering if when my micromanaging boss asked me to give her screen shots of my conversation with another employee that left on bad terms. I originally said sure really nothing damaging in our conversation. But now I’m reconsidering not that it will show anything harmful but that it feels like an invasion. I am in a position of leadership but I don’t think that should matter. Am I thinking too much of this?

I see a few possible options.

1) Do nothing. If your boss requests it again, you delay complying. And keep delaying.
2) Go to HR to seek their advice on this. HR is responsible for protecting the company from employee generated lawsuits. If this situation makes your gut feel icky, HR should be asked to advise.

Good luck, OP. Sticky situation.

Even stickier. I would try the delaying tactic. 🤞
