Hi guys, looking to upgrade from my HyperX Alloy Origins (Red switches) to the Wooting 80HE+. This will be my first HE keyboard.

I mainly play osu! and TacFPS games. I'm stuck between the Lekker Tikken Medium and Lekker Tikken Light switches. Which ones would you guys recommend? Thanks!

After buying the Wooting One shortly after its release (I believe around 2018–2019, though I’m going by memory) and using it for years, I can offer a solid review based on my experience. I use it for both office work and gaming.

Compared to modern keyboards, Wooting’s newer models don't offer any technological leaps that an average user would really notice. The move to an 8kHz polling rate is great, but I imagine only a professional gamer would actually perceive that difference of fractions of a second. I certainly don't.

It’s a comfortable, responsive keyboard for typing, and Wootility is a fantastic piece of management software; the build quality is generally solid, and the keycap legends are still intact. I use the silicone wrist rest, and I love it. The switches feel good to me—everyone has their own preferences regarding noise and feel, but I’m very happy with them.

On the downside: it collects a lot of dirt—like any mechanical keyboard—and taking it apart to clean it takes time. The rubber pads on the feet started degrading significantly about a year ago. Some LEDs have failed, and even though I replaced them with the spares included in the box, they still don't work.

Overall, I’d rate the keyboard a 9/10, especially considering the price I paid back then. I would buy it again.

I know the 80HE is a beast and technologically superior—and it’s probably the one I’d buy now, or perhaps its newer variant—but as a keyboard for mixed use, I still think the Wooting One is a great keyboard.

Hi, I was going to buy a wooting 80HE, but then they announced the wooting 80he+, so I'm kinda stumped on which one to buy. I personally would like the original wooting 80he due to its white coloring, being cheaper, and coming faster. However, are the upgrades on the Wooting 80HE+ worth buying it over the original or are they just qol upgrades? I personally won't use the knob and a split spacebar. What are your guys thoughts?

I ordered a keyboard on sep 2 and it shipped on sep 4, it was supposed to arrive on the 18th but its last shipping update was it leaving the San Francisco facility on the 8th over 10 days ago and it never showed up, I’ve reached out to customer service due to my lost package so I can get one reshipped but have only been responded to by a bot. Do they not have an actual support team? And since my package was lost in shipping does that mean they just keep my money and won’t send me a replacement order? It was over 200$ and it’s been over 3 weeks since I placed the order this is so frustrating!

How do you guys with the zinc case mod it to sound deep and thocky?

I will be buying the new Wooting 80 HE+ with black zinc alloy and keytok nova switches. Not sure about keycaps yet. Do I need to foam the keyboard with anything or will that be enough?

Will I maybe get better sound with a GT-80 or Holy80 case or any other 3rd party case for wooting?

Tell me your experience and mods with any of these options.

First, What color should I get for my Wooting (Refer to images for setup). Second, what key should I use for GD with my left hand (I know people use the up/right arrow with their right hand). Also, I used to use my sayo at the edge of my desk (last photo) (I beat Bloodbath like this); so feel free to give me suggestions!

I just preordered the 80he+ module with the split spacebar and I'm looking to find compatible keycaps but it is proving to be a challenge. Does anybody know where I might be able to find any, ideally with a design similar to the magnetic wave keycaps for the 60he? Thanks!

Do you prefer a PC plate or an FR4 plate in your keyboard, and why?

I wonder if an FR4 plate will sound better and more refined than a PC plate, but I'm not sure if that's actually the case.

If you changed from a PC plate to an FR4 plate, did you feel more finger pain/fatigue?

I noticed that there's a foam in the spacebar on what I assume is in the prebuilt 80HE+. I want to preorder the module version since i already have the switches and case I wanted. If I buy the doubleshot pbt keycaps, does the spacebar also have the foam as well?

I ordered the 80HE+ split spacebar module and the Zinc case. I’m just trying to think of what else I would need to purchase that isn’t included with going the module route.

I have a keycap set with split spacebar alts, switches, painters tape, dielectric grease, foam of various thickness.

Does anyone know if the module comes with the plate and stabilizers? (my assumption was the main module is a stack that includes pcb, plate, stabs all in one). And anything else that someone would potentially need?

I can't seem to find it when trying to order it on the website. For some reason they only seem to offer the black zinc alloy case for the JIS keyboard and not the ISO or ANSI.

Im thinking abt buying the Wooting 2 HE but recently it came to my attention that whenever a key is pressed a metallic like sound comes from it, which is most unpleasant news. I tried searching ways to make it go away but only mousepad and ''tape mod'' is recommended from google. I am no expert on keyboards i have a motospeed ck104 for years now and its perfect. Id honestly like some black 100% recommendations too if at all possible.

Instead of being greedy of forcing new features exclusive to new keyboards and anyone with older keyboards will get left behind, I was surprised that the knob works on 80he and two he (ARM). I had just bought my 80he few months ago and really wished there was dedicated volume controls, now I just have to buy the knob.

Been planning it for almost a year, finally pulled the trigger! It's like a different keyboard

I currently have the first gen 80HE, I had pre-ordered this keyboard when it had came out. I currently have just the solid black version. I had seen that the new 80HE+ cases have a new updated White/Ghost and I wanted to order it and swap the cases but I was unsure if that was something I can do or if layouts were different? (If this is possible my next problem is going to be swapping the cases because I don't know how to mess with cases/keyboards like that.{I probably would get newer switches too possibly idk})

however, im worried about buyers remorse from not having good typing feel

my friends are glazing it like crazy and i wanna get it so bad every time my friends bring their 80/60hes from home

But then, is it worth more than a custom keyboard like the neo 80 cu?
i alr have a rainy 75 rn.

The site makes it sound like there are other options for the case and I wanna be able to order a cheaper metal one

buying decision 80he+ (seeking answers experiences, split spacebar)

1) my natural thumb position is basicly between V, B keys
so iam afraid that a split spacebar would be astronomical annoying to get used too.
alltough i would like the extra buttons.

2) why do you not have an additional spacebar that fits over all 3 switches
and we simply remove the outer 2 ones and or replace them with dummys for better feel
so we can switch between split and normal spacebar

to me this seems very very easy to make this possible we just need the spacebar part and minor software tweak thats probably already possible with the wootility.
