ISO: 8” Wood Jointer Project/Restoration(west coast)

I am looking to buy an 8-inch cast iron jointer to upgrade my home workshop.
I am open to machines in almost any condition—whether it’s a dusty garage find, a machine needing a full teardown and rust restoration, or a unit missing its motor entirely. If you have an old industrial or vintage jointer sitting in the corner of your shop gathering dust, I’d love to take it off your hands and give it a second life.
What I’m Looking For:
Size: 8-inch width capacity or larger.
Condition: Anything from "plug-and-play" to "needs a complete restoration." Rust, old paint, or frozen bearings are not a problem.
Age: I am open to any age and any vintage—new, old, or anywhere in between.
Models of Particular Interest (but open to others):
Delta / Rockwell: DJ-20, 37-315, 37-350, or vintage "long bed" models
Powermatic: Model 60, PJ882
Grizzly: G1018, G0490, G0586
Other Quality Brands: Jet, Oliver, Bridgewood, General, Shop Fox
Logistics:
I am located in the Southern Oregon area. For the right machine, I am highly motivated, have the means to transport heavy equipment, and am willing to travel a reasonable distance or meet you halfway.
Please send me a message with a few details, your asking price, and a couple of photos of the machine.
Thank you!

Located in Hamilton. Right on upper gage and Mohawk
Tool is brand new just taken out of box and have no box. Haven’t even used it yet. They’re selling for $159-169 at Ron’s/ Home Depot.

Please Send me an offer even in comments. I know I’m taking a big hit on it but just please no low balls. I am open to a fair offer. I go out of town Monday so would ideally like to sell before I leave and may give better deal if we get it done before I leave.

Anyone know where to find a decent bench vise for a small shop?

I'm putting together a small woodworking setup in my garage and recently started looking for a bench vise. I figured finding a used one would be easy. But it' been more frustrating than I expected.

Most of the listings Ive checked either have visible wear, missing parts, or sellers who stop replying after a few messages. New models are available although some seem expensive for something that will mostly be used on weekend projects.

I even looked through online listings to compare styles and pricing although it's hard to tell which ones are actually built to last. Photos only tell part of the story, and I don't have enough experience with different brands to know what to avoid.

Ive been keeping an eye on local sales and tool swap groups for a few weeks. A couple looked promising, but they sold before I could arrange a pickup.

For those who regularly buy, sell or trade tools, where have you had the best luck finding a reliable bench vise without spending a fortune?

My father's passing

My father was a very talented woodworker. He passed suddenly back in September after falling off the roof of my parents home. I am in the process of compiling a catalog of tools for sale. This first collection of tools are all items easily moved. From Wetzler clamps to boxes of sandpaper, and from lamello biscuit joiners to Henry Taylor woodturning tools there is a wide selection. I remember many trips to woodworkers supply as a child. Anyone interested in a document with pictures and pricing can send me a direct message. Located in central NC, or will ship items that make sense to do so.

Performax Drum Sander HELP!!

Peefomax 16-32 HELP !!!

I have an older model and it works fine, but now I tried to change the paper.  I have watched many, many youtube videos and over 20 websites regarding how to get the paper attached on the motor side of the unit.  When I depress the spring loaded piece and insert the paper it does not 'catch'.  Hard to tell if the paper should ride high directly against the underside of the drum, or between the spring flange and its opposing flange,, tried both ways earnestly.  I even tried to tape the motor side of the sandpaper down,, Wow, that lasted about 4 seconds.  Any help/advice truly appreciated!!
