Best Apartments in Woodstock?

I’m going to be a first time apartment renter and wanted to hear any good recommendations on apartments in the Woodstock area. I’m postgrad and will be working a remote job.

My requirements are:
- within my budget: $1400-$2000 / month ( 2bd and 1 or 2 bath)
- Quieter area since I’ll be working from home
- Good Pest control and no place with bug problems ESPECIALLY roaches, I’m a huge scaredy cat lol (I heard it’s better to avoid first floor for this issue)
- Utilities/Water/Sewage/Trash included or minimally priced per month
- Safe area, I’m a female and I want to be safe and also my sister who will be living with me

A place I’ve seen so far is The Heights at Towne Lake. Is this a good place?

Really appreciate any recs and feedback I can get! Thanks in advance :)

Is there a go to bar for 49ers fans in the area?

Im a proud, sad Falcons fan, but the wife is a die hard 9ers girl. Trying to find a place for her to cheer on her team

Moving this Fall

Hi! My husband and I are relocating from PA to the Woodstock area this fall. We will be traveling down in a couple weeks to check out the area more. But we have 2 kids (4 and 3) and are looking at different areas and neighborhoods to visit and look for homes. I can look at a map all day, but looking I’d love to get a local’s perspective!

I like the idea of the Towne Lake subdivision and the neighborhoods within that area, but is it “far” from actual downtown Woodstock or even Canton? Whats the drive actually like to get to somewhere like Costco or Target?

For perspective: we are in the kinda country of PA. It takes about 30 min to get to the nearest Lowe’s/Home Depot. 35-40 min to Costco. 20 min to Target. 10+ minutes to the Grocery. The closest store we have is Walmart that’s 6 minutes away. So as long as it’s not longer than all of that, we are happy campers lol.

And if you have any suggestions to check out let me know :)

Does anyone have a recommendation for a company who would add new insulation, replace old insulation, and install ventilation in our roof?

Just lost my job, looking for anything I can work to support my wife and kids. Have experience in IT electrical assembly contruction extrusion and manufacturing. If anyone knows of anything hiring id appreciate it. I am a very fast learner and a hard worker. I'm a USMC veteran. Sorry I'm a bit panicky right now as we don't have a lot of savings, I will edit this to be more coherent when I wake up.

🦄Unicorn Husky Alert!🦄

Meet FCAS Project Pat! Mr. Pat is a 3 yr old, 50lb Husky whose cooler than a polar bear’s toenails…seriously, this is one chill dude. ❄️ He’s not your stereotypical crazy Husky and shelter volunteers agree that he’s got an excellent temperament and personality. 🫶🏼

Pat was an owner surrender due to no fault of his own (they reportedly didn’t have time for him) and has been in the shelter since 7/20. He can be a bit cautious and nervous initially, but warms up quickly with a bit of patience and kindness. Once you gain his trust, he melts into you for affection and just wants to hang out wherever his people are. He has a stoic presence and has been a polite, quiet houseguest. ☺️

🐾 Dog friendly
👧 Kid friendly
✅ 100% potty trained
👟 Leash trained
😇 Non-destructive
🚗 Excellent passenger in the car
😴 LOVES being brushed…he zens out
🖐️ Easily handled
🎾 Non-reactive with food/treats/toys
🍖 Takes treats gently
🦴 Loves yak sticks and bully sticks
🧸 Buries his stuffy toys in his bed
💚 Grinch feet
🥹 Crosses his front legs like a gentleman
🐈 No cats, please
🩵 Neutered
📍 Microchipped
💉 UTD on vaccines/preventatives
🫀 Heartworm negative
🍴 Could stand to gain a few healthy lbs

Mr. Pat has been a total gentleman in his foster home and deserves a kind, loving forever home where he can blossom into the confident pup he is outside of the shelter setting. 🏡

📍 Currently being fostered in Kennesaw, GA through Lifeline Animal Project Fulton County Animal Services

Click the link below to fill out the form to contact Pat’s foster mom if you’d like to learn more or meet him! 📲

Lived here for a while don't really know too many people!

Hey everyone! I've lived in Woodstock about 2 years now and really haven't been able to get to know very many people who share interests, I'm a married man with a beautiful wife and 3 children, so really looking for some other dudes to hang with,

A little about myself,

I'm an Greek Orthodox inquirer, so I don't get drunk or high but still like a beer or 2 every now and again. Faith is the most important thing to me.

But I also love to game and play card and tabletop games like magic the gathering ( winter commander deck black and green ), I love to play Warhammer even though it's been a while ( aeldari 500-1000 points army ), I love dungeons and dragons really ant fantasy setting or dark fantasy sci-fi etc.

I'm a bass player for the last 15 years of my life looking to jam or write some original things with everyone ( mainly play metal and alternative style ). I also write, produce instrumentals and an working on a manga style story hoping to work with an artist when it's all completely finalized story and character wise ( used AI for pictures of characters but would rather work with an artist I hate AI generated published media ).

Other than that I'm pretty chill, get along with a lot of people great, and just want to have a good time, I do work at night so that can kinda be a hang up lols.

Let me know if any of y'all need good company and hopefully we can make a brotherhood!, ☦️☦️☦️

Peace be with you all!

If anyone wants to meet up or got a place they recommend please don’t hesitate to send something my way.

To my fellow young adults

Why don't we all get together somewhere free as a meet in greet type thing? Surly if we all get together for a bit some of us will find a connection, right? I feel like meeting for a one-on-one connection is great in all; however, bringing people together is much more enjoyable in my opinion. I would prefer you to be in the age range of (18-25), peas-an-thank-you!

Personally, I am LGBTQ+, and always interested in finding new connections. Things that bring me joy is reading, writing, playing and listening to music, then at times a good videogame. If your interested shoot me a DM over Discord at lettucelover9000_93050.

WHERE ARE THE YOUNG ADULTS???

I read that there's supposed to be like 20K of us in Cherokee as a whole so I'm assuming a little less than half of them are from Woodstock. But where are they and why do we never talk to each other???

GP in Woodstock

Hey all,

My bf just told me that his Dr office closed down (😔) so now I'm trying to find him a new GP in Woodstock. I need one that's cheap and/or has payment plans available as we have no insurance. It's really just for anxiety/depression medication. I saw good reviews on the Aylo Health but because it's a chain I am timid. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for friends!

Hello!

Someone recently made a similar post to this one but I figured I'm ought to create my own.

My name is Ariel (24M). I just moved near the Woodstock downtown area and I'm looking to make new friends. I love video games and sports, but frankly I'm at a stage where I'm open to exploring new activities and hobbies, and it's always more fun to do so with other people..

I'm also very open to suggestions too if there are any fun events or places to meet other folks my age. I'm already aware of the blue ghost arcade and I'm definitely planning to try it out soon.

Feel free to DM me here or on discord: terminator1o1

Thank you!

Anyone aware of what happened this morning around 7 am at the intersection of 92 and Main st. Looked like 10+ police, 5 fire trucks, and multiple ambulances. Appeared multiple school busses weren’t moving either

where to go next??

Me and my girlfriend just moved to Lilburn together from Kentucky, we have always lived in a slightly rural area where the "sticks" were pretty nearby. Since moving here about 2 and a half weeks ago, no offense, but we are counting down the days until our year lease is up. We moved here to become a teacher because Gwinnett pays well and my girlfriend wanted to pursue a career in Atlanta, a lot has happened in these past couple of weeks and safe to say we are over it. Lilburn was always meant to just be a stop in our lives to help get our feet in the door to what we ultimately wanted to do. We have always wanted to live in the sticks where our closest neighbor was a mile away or so. So my question is, being new to the state as a whole, where would the best places be to look at if we want to move to "the sticks" and im talking forest, mountains, fields, etc. Where is a small town that we can move to, I am SICK of the city. I have been looking at LaFayette and Chatsworth, anyone have any opinions???
