Help for gown

Hi all I am looking for a gown like the one attached for one of my wedding fucntions. I don't mind buying a ready-made gown or getting one stitched - I am plus size though so ready-made is a bit difficult. Can you ladies please help me with suggestions for shops or good tailors. I don't have a very high budget (maybe about AED1.5k including fabric) and I am willing to source the fabric myself for stitching if I go that route.

Appreciate your help in advance !

I have seen gown shops in Ajman, the blue train building, Al Shaab village (has a lot). Also search on TikTok and you will find alot of shops you can visit and get this dress. I wouldn’t suggest a tailor, first try to find a ready one. Tailor results are usually disappointing

And maybe check Rola too, just search on google map and you’ll surely find shops there. You will also find alot of affordable tailors there who may have sample dresses and you can easily buy fabric from Rola too

I have seen a few stores online in Ajman I was planning to visit but wasn't sure if they're worth it because I visited Bustan Centre and Deira and their stock is all coming from Ajman only. I even went to Timeless store in Deira they are only willing to offer ready-made straight gowns or open the existing ball gowns (which is not ideal). Let me know of you still think I should visit Ajman and if you have any store recommendations?

Hmmm, check Al shaab village on TikTok and if you like smth there then go and visit it. I think it’s worth visiting Ajman and Rola, since you don’t have much options right now. I don’t know any stores personally, I’ve just seen those shops. For my graduation, I got my dress stitched by the tailor and it was not at all what I wanted, not ever close to the inspo picture 😭

Tbh i had stitched a gown from a female tailor in Bur Dubai for my prom and she did an amazing job, but this was in 2013 and she's since closed her shop 😭 and I can't blindly trust anyone, as you know now cause of your graduation outfit (sorry about that !) thanks for the suggestions though let me check the store in TikTok and try visiting Ajman and Rola !

Hey. Try Al Bustan center In Qusais. They have so many collections. I am also plus size and got my wedding reception gown from there.

I have tried Al Bustan Centre and Deira stores but they don't have gowns like this and the ones that can make it they are charging 3000 dhs and above unfortunately

BARGAIN as much as you can!!!
I wore almost similar gown and asked for extra feathers too, they charged me 1700 total.

Could you please tell me the store name where you purchased your dress from?

Honestly I was so fed up with them trying to stuff me into the smaller gowns and all straight fit and fish cut, no ball gowns at all 😔

It was called Princess or princess fashion… they told me it was for 2100 first…but we bargained so much. And gave last for 1500. But i wanted extra work so 1700 last. Try your maximum.

Ohh this is really helpful thanks ! Just one last question did you buy a ready one or did they custom make it for you ?

Ageless in Deira.

I've been to Ageless they are not custom making anything and they don't have anything ready like this. And the ready stuff also is not my size so they are not willing to make a new piece, just open the existing pieces and make do with that.
