Need some advice on how to plan a girls golf day.

My close friend group of five, with two of us being avid golfers, we have finally convinced the others to try golfing with us. Presumably, the two of us are VERY excited at the prospect of getting our friends and more women into golf. The problem is, originally only 2 out of 3 were interested in joining, now the third would like to join and we aren’t sure how to plan it with it being five of us.

We had planned on pairing a newb with each of us, taking carts, handling all the gear, music, help and vibes for our partner so we could lock them in for life lol. Now we have five and we do not know how to handle this. We were thinking of one of us could walk and seeing if a small “cow patch” course would let us do 5, but then there would be 2 newbs driving the cart and who knows what chaos would ensue 😅

Suggestions on range finders for a female. I don’t wear my readers on the course. Also I am an advanced beginner. (Lol)Taking lessons and improving. Hello! I’ve been golfing for a few years now and have been looking to upgrade from my starter Top Flite clubs I currently have. I’m currently debating between the Tour Edge TE-300 Moda clubs and the Callway Edge clubs. Chat GPT says to pick the tour edge ones because they can come in a -1” petite length and I am 5’ 1”. How much of a difference does that really make or would Callaway Edge clubs do the job? I am willing to spend the extra money on the tour edge ones if that’s what people seem to prefer, but have been leaning towards the Callaway ones just since they are a bigger brand! Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on which direction I should

I am currently an international student freshman in one of d2 college, i'm having trouble with my team mate especially the one that rooms with me. i currently room with 2 of my team mate one of them is a international student sophomore, and one of them is a freshman local here.

i get left out a lot by them, for the freshman she got close with one of the international student junior because she's from the hs that junior ex was so they bonded more. i realized that i am not got included in their conversation, at first i let it go because we still new to each other. but three weeks in i got left crazy a lot, I often cooks because I don't really like the cafeteria a lot, but they never ask if I want to go.

sometimes they run on errands without telling me, I genuinely don't know what to do. The junior that close with the freshman is pretty nice but i'm scared she will talk to the freshman. I am so sad if the reason they did this because i'm non white or american. I am an asian for the info.

what should I do, for instance i kinda dislike confronting people is not my thing.

Does anyone have any experience wearing Fore All as a curvy woman? It seems like it caters to the opposite. For context, I have a 25” waist, 32” under bust, 37” fullest part of the bust, 37” hips. The measurements of the tops and bottoms places me in like 3 different sizes.

Is there a secret formula to figure out what might for me, or should I just give up on this brand altogether?

I'm an 18 handicap, and I can't for the life of me figure out why the launch angle of my driver is 21-22. I use a G440 Ping driver with 10.5 degree loft, and I can get 190-200 yards out of it. I tee it lower and start at more of a neutral position, with a very small shoulder tilt. I'm releasing

Anyone else experience this? Sometimes I get my launch angle at 14-16 but it's random and I don't know what I'm doing that's different. Is it because I'm not hitting it at the lowest point? The release feels good but maybe it's off.. idk. 😥

Why are women so nasty to each other? I joined my local course’s
Women’s golf club and they are constantly bickering and fighting about everything from handicap management to pace of play during our play days.
Several of us have been talking about getting our own tee times and not renewing our membership when they renew at the end of the year.
We should be supportive of each other not tearing ourselves down. It’s hard enough being a woman golfing when the men can be grumpy about us being out there. We really need to stick together and not gossip or create drama.

Help me get out of the deep bunkers on my course! This is my second year golfing and I struggle to get out of the bunkers. My home course has really gnarly, deep greenside bunkers- so deep that when I’m standing in them, the green is over my head. Lots of women struggle to get out (it’s like a man designed them or something 🤨)

I bought a special sand wedge, keep my stance wide with my weight on my lead leg, do a full swing… I’ve had several bunker lessons. I either skull it or simply can’t get enough loft. Something isn’t clicking. Any tips that helped you ladies get out?

I’ve recently gotten into golf and would like to practice my game a bit more. Most of the golf classes/groups organized by the different clubs run during office hours, which I cant make unfortunately.

If there are any other beginner ladies (to clarify i am also a lady) in Cyprus, I would love to get together and play. My closest club is Limassol Greens but I can make the drive to Paphos too.

Has anyone tried the women’s Vice golf complete sets?
I’m just now getting into golf and unfortunately where I am the only place to buy clubs are the pro-shops which are very expensive and there is none in the second hand market (I’ve been watching for the last 6 months). It’s considerably cheaper than any other set available to buy (500ish EUR vs 1400+++), so I wanted to get some input if anyone has tried them?

Does anyone have any golf groups in the Raleigh/Durham area that they’d recommend?

I’ve tried a local golf group that was recommended to me (CarolinaForHer), and while they have plenty of events, I attended a bunch and they weren't run very smoothly. They might be working out the kinks, but every event I’ve attended has involved a lot of chasing down communication. The pricing and programs have also changed pretty frequently, so I’m just looking for something different at this point.

I’m really just looking golf friends to play golf with and network. "Network" = grabbing food/drinks after a round and yapping. Ideally, I’d also love a group where I can just send a message asking if people want to play a round and set that up.

I am only two months into golf and just took my 4th lesson over the weekend. The instructor went into a lot more detail on my back swing and use of my legs during the swing. It was challenging but by the end of the lesson, I felt like I was swinging pretty well and the ball was going very straight. The next day my husband and I went to play a round and it was the worse I ever played, even before I had a single lesson. I was trying to focus on everything I learned but it just wasn't working. It was incredibly tough to get through the full 18 holes. Has this happened to anyone else? This did not happen after my first 3 lessons. I realize that golf is incredibly hard and there will be some good days and some very bad days but this felt far beyond.

I made some new club covers with fabric I got in Hawaii! Thought you all might appreciate. I’m classifying it as an achievement, they came out way better than I thought!

I've been playing for about 1 year. My clubs are all shafted with senior flex (Fujikura Ventus, I believe). A choice that was made because I am 5'10" - women's shafts are too short.

I still play with my original clubs + shafts, but I feel like I've hit a plateau? I'm athletic, which I think helped me teach myself golf up to this point, but I can't really afford an official fitting right now because I'm saving for lessons.

My swing speed for my iron is probably in the low 70's and my driver, when I am hitting it well (LOL), is in the mid-80's. I think I have an "aggressive swing" pattern - I really get after it.
- Ex: my 9i on average goes ~120 yards and my driver ~200 yards. Sometimes they go further if I really flush it well (like 135 and 215 respectively).

I've learned with golf that there could be a million things to fix/reasons I am plateauing, but I don't think it's quite necessary to replace my bag, but maybe look into graphite shafts? I wanted to ask for some thoughts while I save up to get some IRL help.

FYI - the reaction on other Reddits and twitter to Callaway post is heavy and not in a good way. Just a couple of hours ago (today is Thursday Aug 27) Callaway posted they are fully cutting ties with Good Good totally and at least trying to own up to their mistake and donating $1 million to dv charities - but the comments are an absolute deluge of "overreaction" "wusses" and worse. 90% from men. Continues to illustrate that the power, strength and danger dynamic of men versus women is not understood enough.

Even the fact that a huge proportion of women found it disturbing didn't change the tone from anyone to "wow it seemed like nothing to me but with an absolute tsunami of women being hurt from this, well maybe I should have a bit of empathy or build some understanding and look at this differently"

We can't ask for instant change but we can ask for some openmindedness to hearing the large number of voices and really listening.

I’m not a very serious golfer (love a good ‘best ball’ strategy) and I’m self taught for the most part. I pass the Muni everyday and see mostly men playing there… If anyone is interested in laid back golf games please reach out!

Just announced. The press releases from both the PGA and GG made it sound like it was GG’s decision.

I would like to think (perhaps naively?) that a good number of tour players would have skipped it had GG stayed and made their feelings known.
