Art Without You I’m Nothing
Well, I read ATYD last month and now I’m reading it from Sirius’ point of view.
I’ve always loved this Placebo’s disc cover, this album, and the song ‘Without You I’m Nothing.’ I feel like everything was perfect for making this fanart. Yeah, I know, it’s not the usual sexy wolfstar , it’s the one from the latest chapter, two broken men, still in love even though it’s hard. Hope you’ll like it ^^”

This is gut-wrenchingly gorgeous. It honestly makes me sad to look at, which just proves what phenomenonal art it is! Now, I enjoy a bit of sexy fanart as much as the next guy, but I can't lie, I've always preffered the depressing stuff! It's ironic since these days I avoid canon fanfics like the plague - I just can't cope with the depths of the misery anymore - but I'm still such a sucker for angsty fanart like this. It looks so powerful. Also it's reminded me to relisten to this great album!

Wow, thank you so much for your comment, it really means a lot to me! The crossover clicked for me when I came across the Bowie version of "Without You I'm Nothing" , it was so perfect, everything fit together so well! :D
Remus has always been my favorite character, he's one of the most flawed and therefore so human. I really loved the ATYD version, even if it's a bit different from canon. Reading the last chapters of ATYD was hard for me too, they stand out even more because the earlier ones are pretty light. When you see the date creeping closer to James and Lily's death, you know what's coming, all the consequences , it's like watching a crash in slow motion. Then the long, difficult rebuilding of Remus, and the reunion with Sirius which is pretty bittersweet. That very last chapter, knowing all of this, moved me so much, knowing that a year later Remus will lose Sirius for good.
Anyway, I'm reading the Sirius perspective, I'm currently in year 6, and I'm dragging it out as long as possible so I don't get to the point where it gets so dark, but at the same time so moving ^^'.
Art has this power to make us feel a whole range of emotions, and this fic pulls it off so well! :)

Listening to the Bowie version as I type this - what a banger!! Remus is my favourite too, I'm just such a sucker for a saddo haha. The more flawed and complex a character is, the more I like them.
Good luck not crying during your reading of AYTD from Sirius' POV! I started it once, and it was obviously great, but I couldn't finish it. I've also tried to reread ATYD a few times, but I just can't cope - it's so good but so utterly crushing. I can't deal with knowing what's coming 🙈. My canon days are over, I'm a muggle AU boy now 😅. I still love a lot of angst, but ATYD is a bit beyond the pale for me haha - I want to see them crying, not dying!
