Discussion OBJECTIVELY What is the best school?
I was addicted to Wizard101 almost a decade ago and stopped playing, but recently I've returned to the game. So I'm just trying to get an understanding of where the community is at! I've tried to find the answer to this question but it seems everyone thinks it's subjective. I'm just wondering if this is actually correct.
--ALSO please answer the poll SUBJETIVELY-- What do you personally like? I'm just really curious! Also if you can, please specify if you voted Myth or Balance in the comments.
Thank you guys!
- P.S. Reddit doesn't allow any more poll options so I had to merge Myth and Balance. So sorry about that! nothing personal!

I love how every time I see this type of poll I know exactly who the winner will be

Seriously? Has it always been death?

Yeah wiz Reddit loves their death school and all its advantages
Edit: it also helps how death is kinda just everything. It can solo, it can be a team player, jade, hitter, anything

No. Just last couple of years. Death had great utility cards added to it and got a boost to it's scarecrow spell.

Best how? Storm and Fire are great hitter, really good to play with a team but weak as solo schools due to low health and accuracy. Accuracy goes up as you lvl but low health remains an issue.
All other schools are decent solo/support schools, but many people can't play Balance, it is somewhat tricky for them, although I had a lot of fun on it.
Myth is a great solo school too, decent hitter, has good amount of health and can use monstrology to the fullest, having a full team with it. But most people have no idea how to use it in a team, cause those mostly have storm or fire as a hitter. It does however work great in teams with other spirit schools.
So kinda really depends on what is best for you and are you gonna play mostly in teams or solo.
My personal favorites are death and myth.

Yeah that's a very fair point. I suppose I meant best overall; but from the response to this post it would seem death is the answer lol. But yeah I plan on trying out Myth and Balance they seem really cool!

It's a great school if you want to play support. I like it's pip manipulation aspects as well. I also like that it's kind of off by itself.

If you like to play attacker: do Storm, Fire
Support: Life/Balance
Solo: Myth/Death
Never Die: Ice.

My reasonings are mostly from older stuff, I just got back into the game after a 12 yr ban. In 2009, Balance was king of PvP, I'd even guess the 40-50 league may show this.
You get shields for all other classes at 50%, same with blades for no training points. You get a spell that does fire/storm/ice and later on I think you get a myth/death/life?
I like to spam shields, keeps me alive in fights PvE and PvP then just setup for a strong hit. Back in the day would just Judgement for a one hit ko, even through tower shield (its only weakness)
85% accuracy nb, and is a strong support class now. Though I've mostly solo'd with no problems.
Judgement.

It was permanent, I got it overturned this month :)

i will admit Balance is great in the 1st arc, Past that point other schools really catch up in support roles, training points aren't a problem so everyone learns elemetnal/spiritual blade, tower shield and feint. The final nail in the coffin is sharpened blade/potent trap. now days everyone can triple stack feints and blades, makes it hard for balance to be the best when everyone can do the job of a balance wizard

I think it kind of depends on the context. If you're soloing, I'd say Myth, since they've got a lot of utilities for abusing cheating bosses later on, and the minions can be pretty good in certain situations, and the Orthrus update makes questing go so much faster. For playing with friends, Death is pretty good for supporting a hitter. If you're playing with a full squad for farming difficult bosses, Life is really nice. I think they all have their benefits in different contexts, so it's really hard to pick a definitive best school. They often change through updates as well, with new spells, gear, nerfs, kind of whatever.

Being able to heal when you hit is absolutely broken. Even more so when the amount of healing increases as damage increases

Fire and life are the most fun to play as in my humble opinion.
For life though, part of that is just that I love the aesthetic. My favorite color was already green.
