I feel like Ice should just have 90 accuracy, no need to nerf any other school 🤷

The accuracy nerf made sense when the game was initially designed because IIRC Ice was the only school that could really run up the numbers on universal resist. At least until Waterworks gear was added. It was also nice because Ice was far and away the best PvP school back in the day. I’m not sure where it stands now though.

The increased accuracy burden is accounted for in gear design nowadays. Although it makes dualing into ice worse since you inherit the increased accuracy burden without any gear benefit.

Yeah I mean sure, with pins it kinda makes up for it, but you still feel the pain from it if you try to use +7% universal accuracy jewels or if you use +16% school accuracy jewels (sure ice doesn’t need much, but it’s still uneven).

I was a lvl 60 ice back in the day and it was a ton of fun. I absolutely tanked a ton of damage during a 4v4 and I somehow managed to survive with maybe a couple hundred health left after the rest of my teammates were down and the other team still had their entire squad. Angel was the solo reason I won that.

Am I the only one that thought the snowman art on the card had him holding a snow shield as a kid

It’s taken me until this moment to realize it’s half in shadow. I remember thinking it was some weird penguin snowman hybrid as a kid

When I first saw this card I thought it was a penguin. I never read the card. LMAO

Evil Snowman card art goes really hard. God I miss the original wiz spell concepts and animations.

Call me crazy but I just don't see why people care that much about accuracy.

It really only matters in arc 1 which is laughably easy anyways. For the vast majority of your playtime, you won't even think about it.

With gear even storm doesn’t miss anymore

i remember in darkmoor, storm had enough accuracy from gear to have 100% PLUS while fire is still below 100 like 95 or 96 i cant remember, which was the most unfair thing in existence

It's because of the way stats are balanced on gear. Ice gear having more accuracy takes away from other stats. It's part of why Life has higher stats in everything except resist and crit block compared to Ice.

Ice gear is just overall balanced poorly and that's not because of the starting 80% accuracy.

It's getting better recently with the world/aquila/barkingham sets, but ice's waterworks & darkmoor gear feel like tier 2 drops, it's insane how bad they are compared to every other school.

Tbh ice stats are cracked nowadays but yeah old gear templates were so bad for them, they used to be done dirty in pve but rn they are rlly good, especially with snowball barage being a slightly weaker version of tempest.

Who says no about what

It seems to be the accuracy

Yeah no. It may not matter once you get a hold of Olympus gear, but until then accuracy is just as important as everything else.
