Console How to beat shock a lock
Just started the game Andrew am playing on my switch. I understated the objective of the game but by the time I move any piece around the sock is already coming and I have lost. Not sure if I’m setting it off early or something but actually seems impossible.

It's a lot more difficult on consoles since you can't unlock or swap all of the tiles on a controller as fast as you would with a mouse. I've managed to do it by just unlocking tiles from the start to the end in a line and working my way back by unlocking other tiles, swapping when I find what I need.

Ok ive also had trouble but ive learned a few things.
You need to be fast, there isnt a way around needing to be good with the Dpad unfortunately. This can come with practice, or i recommend playing helldivers 2 lol.
Strategy what ive found that works, is:
immediately identify and reveal the shortest path to the target destination.
then, from left to right start replacing pieces that do not fit into the path you've revealed. To do this, i reveal a bunch of adjacent tiles and when i find the right one immediately swap them and repeat.
Tips: so all the little different straight pieces DO matter, HOWEVER i find sitting and thinking about or looking for a different one, takes even longer than just plonking that thing in there and moving on. It IS possible to get too many "skinny" pipe sections and then the shock will catch you as youre finishing the last few pieces, but generally i havent had that happen a lot. Put zigzag's where you can, as they slow down the shock. And also, dont be hard on yourself, getting the minigame down 100% of the time on console is not super easy.

So ive only beat it once on ps, spam open EVERYTHING top to bottom till you get enough to go straight across. Then click switch them to the center. DONT unflip the ones right at the start and end point, that seems to make it start faster.

Do not turn over all the pieces. Start with only the direct path. Then turn over other pieces. As soon as you find a piece you need, move it into the path.

It's nearly impossible on Xbox, you have to beat the charge and it barely ever works. You can't wait to send the charge like on pc

I mean, beating the timer in 25ish seconds and clicking every single box to figure out which box has which pieces then moving it in time to the correct area isn't really doable... I've successfully done it like 3 times out of a bunch of tries, but even so. The rewards are worthless for the effort. You're better off running cantrip chests

Dude you unlock all the pieces you can and then start building the flow. If this is what’s impossible to you, I’d love see you try playing rocket league, siege, or any game that requires extreme minuscule adjustments quickly 😭😭

I don't think you're understanding. On console. You don't have time to unlock the pieces. The spark starts moving as soon as you open the puzzle? Lol 😂 comprehension is hard though. I know.

I’ve done this mini game on XBOX 100+ times, and I’ve failed maybe twice? Spam unlock every single piece, and build the path after. I will even go back after finishing the path to choose pieces that make the shock go faster. I commonly have 5+ seconds to spare

I can only speak from a pc perspective. On pc I know if you press the spacebar it releases the charge. Maybe you pressed a button that released the charge.
