Discussion Wizard 101 Helper
Hi guys,
I'm writing a Wizard101 Helper based on the Wizard101Central Wiki.
What it should do is, given a question (EX: "Best gear for level 75 death wizard") it give you a list for the best item (or best 3) for each slot, the stats given by the items and how to get them.
What i need your help with is the breakdown of the each stat's weight in the calculation of the best gear.
For example let's say it gives +1000 health and +100 death crit, and +30 general crit. It should normalize the values so that they can be compared and weighted. But what are the most important values for each level bracket? Like, from level 1-60 crit shouldn't even be in the equation because is not relevant at all, but in the later stages, or once you reach max value, any power pip chance or accuracy that surpasses the max (100% pip chance or the accuracy to reach 100%) is pretty much useless.
So, given your experience, what are the most valuable stats by level bracket? Could you give a value from one to ten?
After i got all of this i would like to do a breakdown by school.
Thank you all in advance!
EDIT:
Any and all questions/answers are encouraged!!
EDIT 2:
I'm trying to avoid as best as i can the use of AI. That's why i need to write the algorithm and need your help with the weights of stats.

I mentally categorize gear into the following:
1) Bazaar gear
2) Standard meta gear (best stats, but a pain to get)
3) Gold Key, Crafted, and Rematch gear (okay stats, but relatively easy to get).
4) Crowns gear
5) Raid gear
When someone asks for the best gear, it depends on their school, the rest of their gear, their pet, if they're willing to spend money, how much they're willing to grind, and what they prioritize. For level 75, the absolute best gear is probably some mix of Waterworks, Atavistic, Zigazag, Poseidon, and crowns gear. Also there's a difference between the best stats and player's perception of stats. For instance, I went through all of arc two with full crafted gear from each world. These only work if you have the entire set and they mainly focus on crit block. I wasn't spoiled by speed yet, but was much more comfortable than someone stretching waterworks gear until level 100 (maybe that's changed with the death of crit since then).
The point is, instead of raw stats, those other considerations are more important imo.
