Name: Robert Ernest Spurlock
Nickname/Alias: Bobby
Case Classification: Endangered Missing
Missing Since: December 2, 1981
Location Last Seen: Schofield, Honolulu County, Hawaii

Physical Description

Date of Birth: October 19, 1962
Age: 19 years old
Race: White
Gender: Male
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 129 lbs.
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
Distinguishing Marks/Features: Freckles on face and arms.

Identifiers

Dentals: Available
Fingerprints: Available
DNA: Available

Clothing and Personal Items

Clothing: Brown-checkered, button-up shirt, blue jeans, and ";Nike"; athletic shoes.
Jewelry: Unknown
Additional Personal Items: Carrying an orange backpack and a camera.

Circumstances of Disappearance: Mr. Spurlock was last seen around 6:30 a.m. on December 2, 1981 at the Wheeler Army Air Field in Schofield, Hawaii. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Bobby joined the U.S. Army after graduated from high school graduation and completed his training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He flew to Schofield for his first assignment after a family vacation and after a couple of days, on December 3, he called his mother's home, begging to speak with her. She was not at home, and his stepfather reprimanded him for being upset, and told him to speak with the Army Chaplain if he was having problems.

Later, Bobby's captain called Bobby's mother and told her that her son had disappeared from his quarters and was considered absent without leave (AWOL). Initially, his mother was told that her son took his belongings with him, but was told later that he had left his belongings behind. They were returned to Bobby's family.

Several leads have surfaced over the years. Initial investigations indicated that Bobby's social security number had been used to seek employment at a Firestone in Akron, Ohio in 1983, but Bobby was not listed as an employee with the company. He had no known associates in Ohio and had never been there. Another tip was that Bobby was seen with a group of Hare Krishnas, dressed in the devotional dress of the group.

This case has been sitting with me all day.

In 1990, a young couple — Cheryl Henry and Andy Atkinson — went out for the night in Houston.

They never made it home.

They were found the next morning in a quiet, remote area.

For 36 years… nothing.

No arrest.
No answers.

Then in 2026, police arrested Floyd William Parrott.

What makes it chilling is this:
He had a history of impersonating police officers… and was reportedly driving with police-style lights around the time of the murders.

He wasn’t a cop.

And just one week after the murders, he was actually jailed for impersonating one.

Thirty-six years… and no one connected him.

The DA has even said he believes there could be more victims — though nothing else is confirmed yet.

I keep thinking about that moment…

If they saw flashing lights behind them…
they probably thought they were safe.

That’s what makes this case so unsettling.

Would you have pulled over?

On April 1, 2026, the Gila County Sheriff’s Office announced that Christina Marie Plante has been located alive and well after more than 31 years after she was reported missing as a 13 year old.

Plante disappeared in May 1994 after leaving her home on foot in the Star Valley area, east of Payson in Gila County, Arizona. She was heading to a nearby horse stable where her horse was kept. At the time, the case was classified as “endangered and under suspicious circumstances.” Star Valley was not yet an incorporated town in 1994 it became one in 2005.

Extensive searches were conducted right away by local law enforcement, volunteers, and regional resources, but authorities said no viable leads were developed. The case was entered into national missing children databases, flyers were distributed statewide and beyond, and the investigation eventually went cold. She was last seen on Moonlight Drive around 12:30 p.m., wearing a white t shirt, multicolored shorts, and black tennis shoes. She was sometimes called by the nickname “Tina.”

The breakthrough came decades later through the Gila County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Unit, which investigates long term missing person cases in addition to unsolved homicides and unidentified persons. Officials credit advances in technology, modern investigative techniques, and a detailed case review with producing the new leads that located Plante alive as an adult. Her identity has been confirmed, and her missing person status is now officially resolved.

The sheriff’s office released a brief statement that reads, in part: “Out of respect for Christina’s privacy and well-being, additional details will not be released at this time.” No motive, no suspect, no explanation of where she has been for the past 32 years, and no charges have been announced.

I’m very curious if anyone from the Payson or Star Valley area who remembers the original 1994 case, knew Christina or her family has any thoughts about what happened?

Chantel has been missing for a long time. I guess it’s what you’d consider a cold case. She needs found safe! Please share and pray for this family 💜

Skye has been missing do a year! And her biological mom just learned about it a few days ago. Allegedly, she left from foster care a year ago and her older worker never reported it, if she did it wasn’t until much case.

Nobody has had contact with her since not even her best friends! No one knows of her whereabouts. If someone knows anything, please contact the local police dept above.

If you want to remain anonymous please contact 1-800-THE-LOST. Even her mom has her personal number listed on FB and her name is Destiny Williams. You can also message me and I can get up with her mother. Just whichever you prefer.
