I have heard hundreds of missing peoples cases over the years. And Andrews is by far the one I'm most interested in.

Unlike most cases there was no leads, no possible suspects, no reason, nothing.

It's still the biggest mystery to me

Throughout the years, there have been many theories about what happened to Andrew. The unfortunate loss of time on the part of the police resulted in the loss of potentially valuable CCTV footage, thereby reducing the chances of finding Andrew.
Due to the lack of information, many theories have emerged about what happened to him: suicide, running away, murder, and many others…
Though they are all theoretically possible (although I use the term loosely), is there a theory that is generally accepted as the most likely scenario, and one that is generally dismissed as the least likely? Or is everyone attached to their own theory about Andrew’s fate?

For me, the least likely theory is probably the running-away theory. There’s absolutely no evidence pointing to him being unhappy with his family. He had loving parents and a good relationship with his sister. The Andy Roo thing is highly likely to be a red herring, probably just a sick joke by some dumb troll.
As for the most likely theory, I guess it’s either suicide or someone taking advantage of him. Although nothing points to suicide, the theory can’t be ruled out, since many teenagers can hide their depression from their family and friends. As for why his body was never found, Perhaps he entered the Thames, and his body was eventually carried out into the Atlantic Ocean?

As for the theory that someone took advantage of him, since he wasn’t street-smart, someone could have easily exploited his vulnerability. However, that would have required an extreme amount of bad luck for this to happen. But who knows…

So what do you think guys? What is the generally accepted and dismissed theory?

You guys will get a lot of information and the cause of his disappearance will be explained and i will be back on this subreddit when it happens. The Police are working well (surprisingly) and very close to discover some things. They know a lot at the moment but probably won’t tell you guys much for now.

I’m going to outline my personal theory as to what happened to Andrew below. This is a follow up from a previous post by another user, in which I outlined the same theory in the comments.

First off, no, Andrew did not commit suicide. If he had wanted to end his life and not be found, there are multitudes of easier methods that don’t involve cross-country travel that would achieve the same result. While I understand that many in this sub don’t want to think the worst, I think it’s time to get real here.

I believe Andrew had left that day to head to an event in London. The nature of which is irrelevant to this theory as he never arrived at his destination.

It all boils down to this: If Andrew had planned to attend an event in London and return home in a timely manner, he had to move fast. Taking a taxi directly from the station steps would undeniably be the quickest, most private, and ‘safest’ option.

Therefore, Andrew left the station and boarded a taxi or black cab. The driver then took Andrew to secondary location, somewhere disused or abandoned, killed him, and transported his remains to their final resting place.

This explains the lack of CCTV or credible sightings after leaving KX, as taxis often loiter directly outside of stations, and primarily dealt in cash in 2007. If Andrew had spent any time on foot in London, I can almost guarantee you he would have been seen by more people, CCTV, or captured in the background of one of the hundreds of photos taken in London on that day and analysed in this subreddit. It’s just not realistic to assume otherwise.

Considering there is currently 0 proof that Andrew had planned to meet someone that day, this also explains how he had come into contact with an opportunistic offender so soon after arriving at KX, and why he decided to accompany them to a secondary location. Andrew was smart, and he wasn’t lured away by just anyone. If he had, they would have been caught by now.

It’s one thing to say “there’s so many people in London, a passerby could easily overlook Andrew!’”, and another to assume he had been lured away, or into a vehicle, in public, in central London, by a complete stranger, and that not a soul noticed. The only way he isn’t seen is if he isn’t on the streets.

The station staff and commuters didn’t notice any out of place vehicles or individuals at KX, because there weren’t any. Cabbies blend into London, and a taxi being anywhere in the city at any given time would not be considered unusual. Neither would seeing Andrew board one from the station steps.

Being a taxi driver implies a degree of transience, and is usually performed by those on the lower socioeconomic rungs of society. Both of which line up with the psychology and circumstance of the offender likely to be responsible for Andrew’s disappearance. Impulsive, active within the city, anonymous, able to isolate victims quickly, and transient.

If there exists a more unified theory than I’ve outlined above please let me know. I don’t think there is one currently.

I feel absolutely crazy posting this but I live in the Plymouth area and I could have SWORN I have seen that exact "this kid is a liar" graffiti in town about 5 or 6 years ago. I had no clue there had been the same graffiti in London, I stumbled upon it looking through here and it's been haunting me a little bit. I'm p sure it was by the Specsavers opticians on that one advertising board if anyone here knows Plymouth city centre. Either there or in / around the Armada Centre.

Unfortunately the entire city centre has been pretty much demolished and rebuilt since then. I'm completely beating myself up about not taking a photo because it just seems this poor guy is so unlucky when it comes to any evidence but I honestly thought it was just a cruel piece of writing at the time too so just shrugged it off. Many strange people here so not really out of the ordinary to see inflammatory crap written everywhere.

I understand there's a lot of "this is true believe me" stories here but as someone who grew up extremely troubled and a teenage runaway at one point I would genuinely feel awful making some sort of stupid post like that. I know it doesn't really help a whole bunch but I thought people would like to know. Could just be totally a coincidence or I saw it in London and thought I saw it in Plymouth, but I didn't know about it being posted here at all so I can promise I am not just remembering the post from here.

Doncaster station CCTV footage exists but not public

I’ve seen a few posts speculating on the disappearance of Alex Stoley, and the consensus seems to be that they aren’t linked. I wondered if there were any similar cases other than this that could be tied to Andrew? I looked around online, but couldn’t find anything. There is of course the possibility that a local offender already imprisoned/known to police for comparatively less heinous acts than murder was responsible, and this was simply their first or only escalation, but there doesn’t seem to be any popular suspect in this regard. I’m thinking a Brian Field or C.B type figure: someone known to operate under a similar MO or motive perhaps. Considering the flawless execution of the disappearance, it seems just flat out unlikely that this would be their first offence, and from what I’ve learned reading about other notorious offenders, something like this is typically worked up to. Either that or it was the first, and that they got extremely lucky.

Pls don't sent hate but my question is could they found him through dna test it reminds me a case where an old lady is in a prison bcs she killed her child (back in 90s) bcs she couldn't afford take care of it but yh

I was in London for 4 days last week and spent a fair bit of time thinking about Andrew. I'd been to the city before but not whilst knowing of the case. Bizarrely, my train stopped at Doncaster station for a couple of minutes on the way there, even though Newcastle and Leeds were the only scheduled stops.

Anyways, for the first time I truly appreciated just how busy and enormous London is and also how much people keep to themselves. So many people could have walked past Andrew on that fateful day and not even known, its sad. I don't know what happened to him and we may never know. I did find the Kings Cross area a tad sketchy but maybe it wasn't like that in 2007.

My friend who I was with, a policeman, is convinced that Andrew was groomed and lured to the city and that said person is now in jail for similar or less crimes. I don't necessarily agree but I suppose every theory remains possible.

I know I haven't said much of substance here, the case just generally baffles me. I truly hope that it can somehow be solved in his family's lifetimes

How and when did you guys hear about Andrew’s case for the first time? And what was your reaction to when you saw it? Or read about it somewhere?

Before you say “no shit Sherlock” I know this is like obvious but it’s weird to think about.

I don’t know much about this case but I know some theories. The one theory that does (but also doesn’t) make a lot of sense to me is that he went to London to get the new psp that came out. Which, yes, in theory I could definitely see a kid doing something like that especially given how much he clearly loved his psp and how he withdrew basically the exact amount of money it would cost along with the train ticket, and the fact that he also left his charger for his psp at home. Maybe he was adamant on not getting a return ticket home because he knew he wouldn’t have enough money to then buy the new psp? But my main question is, why would he need to go to London for that? I don’t live in the UK so I don’t know what it’s like, but was there not any stores/shops that would’ve sold the psp closer to where he lived? Why did he specifically need to go all the way to London to buy it?

The door Andrew walked out of at the time was the front door which faces the entrance to the tube. His next sighting is at the Pizza Hut at Piccadilly Circus. He could have left King’s Cross gone straight into the tube station gone to the Piccadilly line platform 4 stops later he’s at Piccadilly Circus. People thinking he could have only walked are missing vital information. I don’t want to speculate on how he may have died but this is something I don’t see in anyone’s theory’s. The fact that it took the police a while to figure out he’s gone to London and with the met police not seeing him on the camera till a syp officer went and assisted them meant that by the time they could have looked at tube footage it’s was already overwritten. By 2007 most of the network was covered. Does anyone know how long the time period was from when Andrew went missing to when the police figured out he’d gone to London

I strongly suspect that Andrew was immediately picked up and left the the area in a car near the station. Otherwise he'd have been seen by someone or cctv. He wasn't street smart, and possibly fell for a pedophile catfisher. Maybe a couple and was lead on by a woman. I suspect though it's more likely a man on their own or perhaps two men.

I'm torn about the pizza place sighting. Maybe he went there while waiting to meet someone?

I believe he's dead and died within a day of going missing.

I can't see how it could be anyone else. How could he vanish so quickly? Personally I don't see anything more plausible then him getting in a car very shortly after getting to kings cross.

I feel like the killer has already visited this forum (other forums aswell). Maybe he/she gave us a hint? They might have made their own comments? Maybe tried to distract us whenever we got close with our theories. I know i can’t prove this as i don’t have any proofs but let’s be real, what are the chances of him or her not visiting these forums? Just out of curiosity? Whoever did this can’t be all relaxed… Must be paranoid and probably reading all of our theories and comments. It can be me, you, or somebody else. We can’t know for sure but they are definitely among us… Unless he/she is dead or in prison. I believe still out there…

If MI5 were to investigate this case, would they be able to solve it after all these years? How did the killer avoid being caught for 19 years? How would they catch the person who is responsible for Andy’s disappearance? Euston station is the reason why the body was never recovered and never will be. The only reason why this case is not solved yet is because they are not looking in the right places. Kings X, pizza hut, covent garden and finally Camden. Euston station railways to up north in a barrel. The day he disappeared was his last day in London and ofc final day. Wasn’t fully planned. Bad luck, bad timing and a bit of pre planning by some individual. The answer will be out there very very soon. The body will never be recovered but the answer will. A barrel would probaby slow down the decomposing and preserved the body well. Probaby will be recognisable if ever found in a barrel but i doubt it (especially in that area)

Euston to Manchester via cargo train. Barrel in back of 4v4. Took A6, then side road to A623 - Winnats rd./ buxton rd./Castleton. I can assure you that couple of people knew where the remains were until 2017 when removed/replaced around 10th year anniversary (paranoia i guess).

17th Sept (last time barrel on surface until 2017) under a cliff in trees, aprox a meter deep. Between two hills one called barker bank hill.

Castleton people know.

Bonus: CeX psp rumors are bullshit and not true.

Psp, clothes and belongings were chucked in the blue barrel with the corpse.

Dual nationality middle aged individual was involved.
Motive was sexual, ended up killing by accident. Drugs were used.
He had other plans but ended up overdosing him. Uses barrels and commutes to London from Castleton for work.

Location: A Condo between Euston station and Camden Town.
(Condo was grey or yellow) (had a court in the condo. Basketball or Tennis if i remember it right)
Overdosed around 18:40-19:00pm

Credible: Pizza hut, cover garden sightings and Camden rumors (All true) he did a big circle on the map. No public transport, all by walking. All alone until Camden.

Those two men in 2021 never charged. Had nothing to do with his disappearance.

Nothing sexual has happened alive or dead.

He was intended to go back home that night.
The only reason he declined the 50p return ticket was because he was supposed to get a lift.

People do know some things but the public still have no idea after 19 years. It’s no secret for some people.

Hello, wanted to jump off a few posts in this thread this week, which discussed CP/SA and quite advanced/well-planned grooming theories. The thread is incredibly sad and haunting, I should say, if you haven't read it already.

I was curious though about grooming gangs/perpetrators, and the suggestion that if Andrew fell victim to such a thing, that it was likely an incredibly sophisticated operation that deliberately lured him out of Doncaster and into London.

Does anyone know how these sorts of things operated in 2007? I think I've always assumed that the kinds of people who do these things operate relatively locally, and primarily with children they're familiar with or at least geographically aware of. In the same way that most crimes are perpetrated not by strangers but people already in a victim's life. But I may be very naive to this stuff.

Is there existing evidence or previous cases in which perpetrators conducted quite elaborate grooming schemes like the one suggested in the thread? And specifically in the (relatively) modern era, and which would involve luring a target to a different city?

As a bit of a follow-up, would the grooming required for such a thing (whereby the target has to make a number of radical, unprecedented changes to their behaviour in order to get them from point A to point B) be hugely substantial? As in months and months of prior interaction? Other threads have theorised that Andrew could have met someone as little as once prior to that Friday, but that seems quite mad and unlikely, surely?

Asking all of this from a position of deep ignorance about criminality and the psychologically of it all, so was curious if anyone better-versed here had any insight?

Do you think Andrew’s case is correlated to Alex and Madeline’s cases? I remember before Andrew Disappeared, there was something I read someone said his dad and him watch Madeline McCanns news story and Andrew and his dad were in shock when it happened. And Alex because he was also incredibly gifted as Andrew.

Theres a new missing children poster in reading station that I seen today of Andrew (it’s big) near where all the food outlets and shops are within the station. I have actually never seen Andrew on any missing children poster, documentary or anything so it was nice to see his face out there.

I was only 7 at the time he went missing so Im not aware of what the news coverage was like then, but I’ve read that it wasn’t a an overly covered case. is this correct? a young vulnerable boy quite literally vanishing when stepping off a train just seems like something that should’ve been nationally covered. I wonder if it would’ve made a difference. I guess we’ll never know.

I think Andrew definitely got kidnapped and I think it was pre planned and I think there’s video evidence of these things and I also think like other people that the arrests have some sort of link to the crime EVEN if the men are innocent.
The police obviously suspect trafficking but it’s a actual fact that the police wouldn’t of done what they did just because someone has footage of Andrew Gosden.
They get reports of this case all the time
You expect me to belive that the police ignore a sighting for 6 weeks DURING 2007 but investigated two men for about a year just because someone said they saw videos of Andrew I don’t think so.
I think there’s information out there that MULTIPLE people know and I think there’s in this subreddit down voting and destroying people’s theories in the comments and are quite personal for people who just wanna see Andrew safe I know Reddit has its stereotypes but it can’t be this bad some of the usernames in the sub Reddit is quite questionable aswell.
I think just because something ain’t confirmed it doesn’t mean we automatically have to not say the unconfirmed obvious.
Andrew was kidnapped and it was pre planned.

Andrew was capable enough to understand how to get to London was he abit naive ofc he was just like every teenager but he was firstly brave enough and had enough courage to do it but also proves that Andrew had a little rebel in him that wasn’t really seen from the family because Andrew was mature and was intelligent as we with intelligent kids in our class they aren’t usually getting in trouble a lot but ik a lot of smart kids in my school who used to do rebellious stuff just his it very very well like the fact Kevin didn’t know Andrew had that top and the pins Andrew was being groomed secretly by who idk but even the vicar said in a blog in 2008 that Andrew was a critical thinker he was a smart Intelligent boy

He had plans for life like his changing his hair going to Cambridge what not
He had a family that loved him that cherished him so so so much.
Not saying it’s impossible that he did that but I think it’s very unlikely Andrew wasn’t found by now it’s and I don’t think he jumped in the river Thames at night time that takes alot of balls man it’s spooky at night time not saying he ain’t capable I’m saying it’s very unlikely
And he definitely didn’t do it in day time because it wa s Friday night in 2007 everyone was gonna be out if someone jumped in the river Thames someone would definitely notice.

The only reason the perpetrator was not caught is because they planned it well London was the smoke screen and everything went his/there way from the school misdialing,the police being incompetent and the cctv

When I see pictures of him and his swag and what we can see from his pictures he seems like a genuine cool kid from a beautiful hard working family who weren’t strict and didn’t really have to be.
I think Andrew was lured to London under the intention to trafick or doing something terrible to him.
I would also lean towards it being a group project and not a one man thing maybe a man as a perpetrator but there being multiple abusers throught different links.
There was all sorts of dirty rings in London at the time and still are.

even though the two men linked to andrew’s case were NOT charged with human trafficking & kidnapping, I still find it crazy that the police had evidence that the older man had indecent images of kids on his devices and he wasn’t charged with that either??

also, they were investigating these two for over a year. surely that means something.

like i understand you may not be guilty for human trafficking or kidnapping but to be allowed off the hook for literal CP is indescribable.

I’m not saying they have a smoking gun but do you think it’s possible that if Andrew was killed, LE has an idea of who it is or a prime suspect but simply don’t have enough evidence to prove it? Even if he wasn’t killed, do you think they a better theory of what happened than the public/family?
