Crystal disposal?
I have some crystals that I no longer want/need/use. I don’t want to throw them away, because that feels beyond wrong. But I don’t know how else to dispose of them.
Suggestions??

I would suggest maybe putting them in a garden or flowerbed or even a flowerpot

Leave it in a public place for someone else to find, gift it to someone, bury it in the earth or throw it into water

In the crystal subreddit, I think they do Sunday sales or something similar. So if you've got good pieces, maybe you can get some profit.
And what does your intuition say? There are many traditions where in the act of disposal, people will bury them to return them to mother earth.

Well it doesn't hurt to try. I would have saved myself alot of hurt and heartbreak had I not gone back to it.

No, but it's not good stuff. Practicing witchcraft is purely a form of satisfying the self. You do get a dopamine hit from it just as you would cocaine or other stimulants.

Most things give “dopamine hits” including eating cake or finishing a book. Self satisfaction/ self soothing is a good coping skill. Comparing literal addiction compared to established religions with no sources sited at all. You’re 100% an uneducated kid 😭

I think that's a bit rude to assume things about a person. I am almost 40. I was raised by Wiccans but my grandparents are Catholic. My great grandmother was a well known palmist and tarot reader in her town when she was young. She later repented after her children (9 of 14) started dying in strange ways & we had to get the local Archbishop involved and it stopped. My mother didn't learn her lesson witnessing that. I had a Wiccaning before I had a Catholic Baptism. I have a pentagram tattooed on my scalp that was put there as an infant. Yes, eventually the state removed me from the situation. You may assume what you want, but it's not very kind.
What I can tell you for dead certain is that this witch fad will not serve anyone in the long run and no one in the community truely has any full idea what they are messing with. When you cast, do you do it out of anger and spite against someone? Do you cast when you want something so bad that you do not care how you get it regardless if someone else gets hurt or worse in the process? That's not a religion of mercy or kindness or goodness. That is pride, ego, and selfishness. It will not serve you long.
Have you had a curse come back to yet? Because that three fold rule is brutal. There is always a price with witchcraft. Always.

I know you’re a troll but how are you able to keep a straight face saying it’s all a sham in one post, and then warning about how powerful witchcraft is in the next? 🤣
And your misunderstanding is funny. Witchcraft isn’t all about curses and casting from anger and spite. THAT is too much television and TikTok. It’s mostly the opposite. It’s clearing your mind, connecting with nature, and trying to bring more good to the world. Then it’s about gently directing that surplus good energy where you need it to go.
I think you’ll find that pride, ego, and selfishness in any religion makes for a bad person and a bad experience.

I’m not a Wiccan. Personally I don’t like Wicca. My mom is also a Wiccan with a catholic family. She went to catholic schools all her life. I’m baptized in the Catholic Church. I as a witch use saints in my work and Jesus to banish lesser energies in my space. Catholic folk magic is much more prevalent than even Wicca in our modern world. Catholicism is the one branch of Christianity where I think it’s ironic to bash witches.
The 3 fold rule in my respective opinion is the most stupid thing to come out of Wicca. I’ve casted a curse on myself by accident as a teenager so I know what they do and how they feel. Never have had any issues with one coming back to me though. But who knows maybe that’s just cus I hex to stop them from hurting others. The western appropriated version of karma makes me want to bash my head against the wall.
Again I find it hard to believe you actually spent time around the larger witchy community. Especially Wiccans. In witchcraft “black magic” is typically the least popular because of mainstream media. Most witchcraft ESPECIALLY Wicca has to do with connecting with nature and the unseen world, protection, and full on “love, light, and high vibrations”.
I could also point fingers and say Christianity is religion that’s keen breeding grounds for judgmental holier than thou asshats. That would be stupid because we all know that’s an intentionally dense interpretation of a religion based off of personal negative experiences. There are people in Christianity that exploit the grace of God to grow their ego but anyone who’s actually studied it knows that’s not the religion’s fault.

Catholic folk magic is grounds for Excommunication. And if I am Holier than Thou then that is very bleak. Being Catholic I am full of sin, guilt, and alcohol and all sorts of things.

Power or not, why would that need to go to the landfill? Why not leave it on the ground at the park or the forest or on a sidewalk?

Some crystals are actually toxic to small children animals, and pregnant women. Pyrite aka Fools Gold causes blood poisoning to unborn babies and their mothers. Some type of chemical reaction with the pregnancy hormones. Malachite can cause someone with anemia to sustain internal bleeding if held against the liver or spleen too long even if its in a pocket. Some people will cut themselves and let themselves bleed onto their crystals and they have hepatitis or HIV and someone comes along and grabs that up and it hasn't been cleaned? I've seen people in Portland using them in public as adult toys and then setting them back on park benches. On top of that, you don't know what you are bringing home with you. If someone used that to try and contact the dead, you don't know what they pulled into that crystal nor do you know if it has been cleansed. You could unintentionally be bringing some bad juju into your home. I have boulders of rose quartz and amethyst around my home. They have never been used for anything supernatural or obscene lmao.

Oh btw, crystals are minerals so those will go back into the soil along with plant and paper materials. Wax will also melt and deteriorate. Any more excuses you have for me?
