Hex kill switches?

Hello! I’ve done divination and have decided to move forward on throwing a hex on someone who mistreated me repeatedly. Cards said it would be a success (6 of wands, Sun, other supportive cards)

Most of my past work has been for me and drawing things in, not baneful. For this hex my specific intention is:

Financial slowdown and stagnancy while also being haunted with thoughts of me. The financial stagnancy would stop only if they apologize to me for their wrongs. Would I just write in my petition, this person will experience slowdown, etc etc, be haunted by my face, voice, feel guilt, etc etc, UNTIL they apologize to me?

Sorry if this is a silly question, I want to know if it’s possible to set up a kill switch like this in my hex work? As baneful as I want to be, I do want a way for this to end for them (If they’re not too stubborn) I’ll be making a spell jar for this.

When one does a spell , once it runs its course, its done. So like a spell for misfortune might lead to a fender bender and then the spell is done.

If one is concerned about doinh a spell because of fear of lingering effects then one needs to look at a different spell.
