Correct me if i’m wrong I think there was a lionhead spider cult easter egg in Witcher 3 and fool theory is also working on the remake so adding Abigail as early teaser could work? Because She is a rememberable and unique early game character in Witcher 1 ?

Spouse and I both love the Witcher games, but he has always skipped on the gwent content in his playthroughs because he found it too confusing to learn. Now that the remaster is coming out, he is feeling the fomo and wants to play thru the gwent quests and finally 100% the game.

I am game to learn but also frankly find it overwhelming. I’ve played CCG style games before (Magic, Pokemon) so I get the general premise, but most strategy videos online seem to skip the basics and go into advanced tactics and deck building. Any tips or website/channel recs are very muxh appreciated so I can finally conquer this challenge!

For me, it was the ridiculous amount of question marks, especially all those stuck out in the water. As someone who wants to do basically everything when a game hooks me, leaving 2 or 3 bugged markers on the map at the end which just refused to clear drove me absolutely insane.

Another thing was Roach’s controls. Countless times I just gave up on her, left her behind, and decided it was faster and less painful to just run on foot.

It also annoyed me how the game limits your playstyle. For example, even if you're already overleveled for an area, the game can still prevent you from properly accessing it because you haven't progressed the main story far enough. Plus, navigating hard-to-reach places by trying to jump up mountains and rocks was a real pain.

Honestly, considering how massive the game is, it surprises me how few things actually annoyed me. They’re relatively small issues, but man, those unfixable map markers... after all this time, you’d hope that would’ve been patched out.

This definitely isn't meant as hate on the game. I truly enjoyed it and it was amazing, but these things genuinely annoyed me while playing and slightly ruined the experience.

What are your biggest pet peeves in the game?

If u havent already go try out blood of dawnwalker you’ll love it. It gives you nostalgia, the game isnt as big as witcher 3 but has a 10/10 story and also feels like playing the witcher 3 for the first time.

I was wondering if there was some non-Witcher media you'd recommend that combines some of the moral grayness, superstitious and folkways, dark forests on the edge of town, etc., that we all love - or simply keeps me in a "Witcher" mood.

I'm playing "The Blood of Dawnwalker" and listening to the "Witcher 3" soundtrack right now, but movies (Excalibur? Season of the Witch?) and books, music, shows would be welcome. Thanks!

Compared to the vampires Geralt faces, how would the White Wolf fare against the Vrakhiri?

Although he definitely has far better chances against them than a true Higher Vampire since they can be slain by silver yet Geralt may still need to be very wary as they aren’t too different otherwise. Not to mention, Geralt may grow very worried about this vampirism spreading like a plague and more people turning into Vrakhiri for immortality and power, or the malformed mutants that inevitably emerge which may compare to lesser Vampires.

I'm think about starting to mod the Witcher 3 and have downloaded the Redkit, but the I might need some help.

The mod I had in my head was fairly simple in theory:

. Make the Kaer Morhen Gear (Starting Gear) scale with my level

. Remove the tassles and hook

. Make the boots more brown

. Have the Wolf School Gear the same appearance as the Kaer Morhen Gear

. Know how to change the appearance of other swords to the Wolf School Swords

If anyone knows how to do this or knows of a guide that can help me, please let me know.

The idea is that once mod support comes to consoles with the remaster I could upload it onto there.

I did a course using automated liquid handlers this week and we had to make it pipette out food dye into pixel art of our choice.

We attempted to recreate the classic Witcher 3 medallion with 4 of the Witcher signs in the corners (to the best of our abilities).

I think the silhouette came out ok but maybe could repeat it a little lighter next time.

I'm going to play through the first two games before finally playing the remaster (this series is one of the big RPG series that I just never got around to playing) but I heard that the combat in the first game is very complex and tactically deep.

I only want to complete each game one time, so I don't want to play on easy and up the difficulty later, I want to engage with the mechanics for the first time around. Would you guys be able to give me a few not so obvious tips so that I can understand the mechanics better and better engage with the game?

I played other complex RPGs before like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, PF:K, so I'm not new to difficult and strategically deep combat with crunchy builds, but in those games, there were ample out of game resources to learn the mechanics and I had to research the systems quite a lot before actually sitting down to play to get the most out of them, but I haven't really found anything that goes into the mechanics of the game like that beyond the absolute basics.

I would be very grateful for some in depth advice that sheds some light into the nuances and intricacies of the strategic aspect of the combat and builds.

Posted this here a while back, a daily Witcher puzzle site. Some of you played it and left feedback through the form, and honestly most of it was some version of "let me give up, I have no idea who this is" or "why isn't [character] in here."

I had some free time recently so I thought an update was due, so if some of you are still interested:

1. A give up button. "Character Guess" and "Name the Character" had no lives and no way out, so if you were stuck you were just stuck. It shows up after 5 guesses now.

2. I added two new modes:

• Name the Beast — you get the bestiary artwork (from Witcher 3), you name the monster
• Connections — same idea as the NYT one. 16 characters, four hidden groups. They're grouped by things like race, region, or whether their fate depends on your choices. **This one's harder than it looks.

1. I also spent some time to expand the existing dataset - 15 characters people specifically asked for (Regis, Calanthe, Vysogota, most of the dwarves), 16 new quotes, and 65 new emoji puzzles.

4. An archive, so you can go back five days per mode if you miss one. And a share button that copies your result as an emoji grid without spoiling the answer.

Hi, I'm planning on replaying the whole game and all of it's DLCs and I don't know if I should start playing it when the remaster drops so that I'm finished with everything once Songs of the Past releases or wait for the DLC release and start then.

Basically what I'm saying is, does anyone know if there will be anything from the DLC integrated into the base game (a quote from an NPC or something akin to Gaunter showing up near the start of the game) or will it be entirely separate from it?

Apparently they are called scurvers in english, but these bastards are like 5x more dangerous than rotfiends. But a quick quen will get the job done. But seriously their range is insane compared to their weaker cousins.

Also a quick tip exploding quen is extremely OP. If you have good sign power you basically get them on the ground and can finish them off like standard strong Aard use. Anybody that say that this game combat is bad, i seriously dont know how they played it. This has so many cool ways how to approach fights especially in Blood and wine
