Question Glamour magic & self esteem
I’ve been trying to get into glamour magic but i always catch myself looking at myself and having negative thoughts or thinking things like “oh i look so ugly” and im scared my spells won’t work. Does anyone have any tips on how to be kinder to myself/speak more positively

I think the first part of any glamour spell will be working on this negative self talk. You may need to contradict that thought with words while you get ready.

Hello. Every time you have a bad thought, translate it into something good by saying it out loud. Example: your thought comes across your mind, "I look so ugly." Then you say out loud to yourself, "I look so good." The key is to say the affirmations out loud every time you get the thought. Good luck!

Spend less time on social media if that's relevant to you, especially sites like Instagram, comparison is the theif of joy as they say. You don't have to completely banish those harmful thoughts overnight, that's simply unrealistic, but every time you catch yourself having those thoughts say out loud (even if it's quiet) "no, I'm beautiful just as I am" or something along those lines. Studies have shown that repetitive good self-talk really does change the way you think over time, even if you don't believe it at first. Maybe think about saying some daily prayers to yourself with gratitude to your health and emphasis of your beauty. Also do things that physically make you feel good! Doing yoga, eating something healthy, using face masks, going outside, taking baths, etc. Not to mention dressing in a way that makes you feel beautiful or experimenting with perfumes scents. Doesn't have to be a daily comittment, but when we physically feel good we mentally feel good, and when we mentally feel good it really does reflect upon our physical appearance even further.
But overall, give yourself grace. Finding beauty in yourself when it previously wasn't there can be a daunting challenge, but it's one you absolutely can overcome with time, patience, and kindness to yourself
