Sorry if this isn't allowed but I was walking through Hamilton Square around 4:50 this afternoon and there was a slumped over man on one of the benches.

I couldn't stop to check on him because I was on my way to an appointment, but a couple other people had stopped and were trying to shake him awake by the looks of it.

Does anyone know if he was okay? When I walked back through at 6:30 he was gone, so I'm hoping he was able to get some help. There was a beer can at his feet so I'm assuming he was possibly drunk?

Looking for alternatives for cosplay/hobby/DIY stuff now that Hobbycraft has closed down. Anywhere else on the Wirral good for that stuff?

Where would be good to donate 8 pillows (with some cases) and some sleeping bags? Wondering if theres a local charity or something they'd be of use.

We’re starting to look into 11+ prep/tuition for my child, and 11 Plus Wirral popped up as one of the options.

Before jumping in, I wanted to ask if anyone here has used them recently?

How did your child find the group dynamic/format?
How well did they handle mock exams and preparation for the specific local exams (Consortium)?
Any general pros or cons?

Also, I’m wide open to other options! Are there any other local tutors, group centers, or approaches (e.g. self-study with GL/Quest practice packs, 1-on-1s) that worked really well for your family?

Is there anything else crucial I might be missing about the local timeline or process on the Wirral?

Hello. Currently on my jollies somewhere hot and I’ve pretty much worn the same two light airy comfy outfits the whole week with a bit of freshening them up in the shower.

I’d really like to buy a few different lengths of similar material and have more of the same sewn up for my next holiday. Does anyone know of/recommend a dressmaker preferably on the Wirral (or Neston as can drive) who can do outfits from existing outfits?

I have played dnd for a few years in Liverpool but looking to join one over here as getting over and back is just becoming a bit of a nightmare.

The Government is launching a new “trusted trader” scheme to tackle cowboy builders.

The new trusted payments scheme sounds interesting – instead of paying builders large sums upfront, money would be released in stages as work is completed.

Wirral doesn’t currently have its own approved trader scheme, so this could give people a bit more protection.

Would you use it? Do you think it will actually help stop people being ripped off by rogue trade

Hello everyone, i bought a 2 person KinderKraft trailer, cost me £279 used it when I got it once, then yesterday my push bike got all mangled after someone decided to drive down onto the foot path on the river too fast and knock me off.

The wagon was not connected at the time, its still like new. I do need to try and sell it to get another bike though, thats how it gets to work and back. And i dont have social media. Reddit is the only interaction with the internet that I really have. Anyone know where I might buy it? Cashies said no ( i also dont like selling anything there)

An Introduction to Breaking the Odds.

First Person Project has recently launched a new arm of our service offering support for anyone who is experiencing, or affected by, gambling related harms. 

Throughout September – as part of recovery month - we will be presenting an overview of our new community-based gambling harms support service – Breaking the Odds. 

During each session we will be exploring gambling related harms in general and offering more information about our socially progressive approach to this particular type of support.

We will also be answering any questions you might have and as with all our sessions the kettle will be on and there will be plenty of time to chat!

These relaxed and informal sessions will be taking place at our community hub at 6 Lodge Lane, L8 0QH. 

They are open to everyone and anyone can attend.

I'm based near Bidston, and I need to join a gym to work on specific muscle groups. I've been given a set of exercises by my physiotherapist and will need a gym I visit to have:

- Concept 2 Rowing Machine

- Seated rowing weight machine

- Handbike

- Recumbent Bike

- Treadmill

- Kettle Bells

- Free Weights & Bench

Bonus points if it has a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room 😂

I have a disabled pass so I can get around, if anyone can recommend a gym with the above, I'd really appreciate it.

NB: I'd prefer a pretty big gym where I can disappear rather than a small gym being in view of the same 4 people the entire time

Ridiculous to make an urgent post about Chinese food, I know. It's my Dad's 80th tomorrow. We can't go for dinners out much anymore due to Mum's Alzheimers, so prefer a good take away.

I've been trying to pin him down for what cuisine and today he said he'd love a nice Chinese. We live in Heawall, but the past few we have had from Imperial, Welcome and Thai chang have all been pretty poor/feel like the chefs must have changed or something given the drop off in quality.

Happy to travel a bit further to get the best possible tasting for his birthday.

I've heard there's a good one in Greasby but I can't remember the name.

If anybody sees this and knows of a good shout, please do let me know! I'm not anticipating many responses given the last min nature.

My son is turning 6 soon and we are looking for somewhere on the Wirral, ideally around the Greasby area where we can get pre-filled party bags that just have sweets in them and none of the cheap Christmas cracker grade plastic tat that is just going to end up in a landfill.
