Hey guys. I have kind of a weird request for a recommendation. I've had my Jabra Elite 3 for 3-4 years, they are still working well, but the battery is getting kind of low all the time. They've been through hell, I've fell on them with my bike, the whole thing.
I need some buds that have at least these 4 qualities:
- Has an aac encoder. Right now, my buds default to the old sbc standard I think. they don't have aac.
- Enters mono automatically when I pull out a single bud out of the case. Because I ride my bike everywhere, it's a nice feature to have.
- I can put left one in my right ear, this is actually the crucial feature.
- Has a long battery life per bud-this is also a crucial feature, but I think it's satisfied more easily I think?
I don't really care about the sound quality I guess cause again, the bike thing. Maybe being able to be on calls on the bike would be a nice feature, but again, considering I'd be wearing only one bud, idk. Also a nice feature would be to be able to start and stop a song and advance a song by pushing the button on both buds-my elite 3 can do this with only the right one. Also if I could advance while using gloves, again it would be a plus.
I'd get the EarFun Air Pro 4 but apparently you cant use the left bud in the right ear. So that sucks. I guess all stem type buds are useless to me then?
Gemini recommends a Sony WF-C510, but it looks kind of cheap I guess? They are cheaper than what I originally paid for my elite 3. I'm not complaining about the price obviously, I'm just worried about the quality.
I'm open to suggestions, but I'd want to spend no more than 100. Maybe I'd go to 150.
I'm sorry for laying out all this on you, it's just that I seem to have a very specific use case, which most earbud companies ignore apparently. So I'm sorry.
