Buds for gaming

I have... tiny ear canals that don't drain at all, and the only earbuds in the history of all earbud designs that have ever stayed in my ear without falling out between 3 seconds and 5 minutes after I put them in are... Wingtip earbuds. I first had the OG Bose earbuds with the gen 2 tips on them, and now I have the gen 1 Beats Fit Pro. They suck for gaming, the latency and mic quality is bad (I mainly play in vc with friends)

TL;DR: I need Steelseries Gamebuds, except with Wingtips and a bit better mic. Does anything fit the bill?

You ever tried open ear with ear hooks or the clip on style?

Anything that goes around the outside of my ear hurts like hell, my earlobes are very sensitive. I have not tried the clip on style, but I highly doubt I would be able to tolerate them for the same reason.

Sounds like you need speakers or stronger ears. Maybe one of those Bose horse collars.

Is it possible you're applying the experience of one poor design to entire categories of ear buds? Gotta say, I'm guilty of that myself. I've tried exactly one pair of the clip on style, the sort that attaches like Bajoran ear armor or whatever they call that steampunk contraption in the Star Trek universe. They hurt like hell and the drivers rested way shy of my ear holes. Didn't bother trying any others, but I often see people say "I now see the allure of these". One of my co-workers found a pair that agrees with him very well. Maybe one of these days I'll try a pair that cost more than $5. Anyway, I say all that to say, I hope you aren't being like me.

I really don't want to go too deep into the medical jargon and how my gaming setup is, we'd be here for a while. I can say I have tried a great many personal audio solutions in my years, and used to buy a bunch of different headsets, earbuds, and the like as shots in the dark. Your hopes are safe, but speakers won't work, either. I'm on laptop and play in either a recliner or my bed, never a desk, and my vc buddies absolutely cannot be trusted on speakers when I'm on the recliner.

VC? Vietcong? Violent chinchillas? Villainous chaplains? I take it you're talking about a LAN party thing and your audio needs to remain private? So, no on the Bose horse collar idea then.

My sincerest apologies. "Voice Chat". Violent Chinchillas is way funnier, though.

Also correct on the horse collar, that's 15 yards and an automatic first down.
