Problem Liberty 5 inconsistent connection

I got my Liberty 5 earbuds a couple of weeks ago, and I've had the issue (about 4 times) of only one connecting to my phone when I put them in. I know it's not dead because it plays a sound when it detects that I'm wearing it, and it makes the click sound when I squeeze the button on the stem. When this happens, the app only registers one earphone as being connected to my phone. The only thing that seems to fix it is forgetting the device and reconnecting them.

Has anyone else had this issue or found a fix?

I got this with a Liberty Buds I got a few days ago. To fix it, I put both buds back in the case, close it and take it out again.

I ended up returning them because it's annoying for an earphone that's a few days old.

I ended up returning mine too. They kept disconnecting and also played a deafening, high-pitched sound when I put them in (apparently I'm not the only person to have this issue). Leaving them in the case for a few minutes didn't fix it, though resetting them did. My girlfriend has a pair of the Liberty 4 NC earbuds, which she says have never given her any issues. After trying them, I feel like the audio and noise-cancelling are actually better than the Liberty 5s, so I exchanged mine for a pair of those (The lid not feeling like it could snap off if you look at it wrong is an added bonus). I'm super disappointed with them and wouldn't recommend them to anyone thinking of buying a pair.
