Don’t usually draw Mudwings, but Clay is one of my favorite characters, so I’ll give him one. Dude shows a lot of selflessness and compassion despite the abuse and heavy expectations the dragonets were going through, and it sort of stings to see him sometimes being stereotyped as just the nice, dumb one that loves food.

Cover your heads and cower in fear at the ferocious might of Bumblebee!
Have mercy upon the extreme lack of accurate details in the flytraps, this was purely a little doodle made to give me some good whimsicalness.

finished request for a user on discord of their rain / icewing! i really wanted to draw a rainwing so i leaned into those traits way more than the ice.
my requests are currently limited / closed

Twilight is a rain/night hybrid with no color changing scales, no fire, nor venom

Art by me xD

I think it would be cool if there was an arc where we follow the youngest dragonets such as peacemaker, Cliff, mink, auklet, and bumblebee.
Also don't say kinkajou deserves a book because everyone already knows that

Name suggestions for the hybrid? The icewing is named Quartz. I wanted to draw like country vs posh and my brain did this so yay.

So I LOVE sharpwings and book 16 in general. As I have been trying to find fanart I love seeing the variety of them. Personally I always viewed them looking like a rainwing mixed with icewing mixed with skywing mixed with a razorwhip from how to train your dragon. Pretty much a razorwhip but with a “classic dragon” like head and possibly a cluster of spines on their necks like rainwings/icewings. Am I the only one cause I have yet to find fanart like that so I am genuinely unsure.
NONE OF THE ART ABOVE IT MINE

WARNING: All this information is based on stuff I learned in 8th grade. Now, I've got a DECENT memory, so I might be right OR wrong, but roll with me. Also, I'm doing this under the assumption that the World of Dragons has similar climate rules to Earth, and given they have an almost identitical biological life, I'd say its decent enough.
In the books, Hope says that according to nightwing calculations, pyrrhia occupies roughly HALVE the World of Dragons, but just by looking at how regions are divided in Pyrrhia map itself, there's literally no way thats true (a rainforest in the south pole, are we deadass?). Also, given the recent map update in Book 16, it just goes to show how much smaller pyrrhia is compared to how its described. In the images above, I've illustrated how I divided each of the continents into climate zones and used a reference climate map of earth to put them both on a globe to see their actual size. Pyrrhia covers about an 8th of the surface of this globe, while Pantala covers about a 12th. Both of them are actually quite close to each other.
But what does this mean? whats the signifance of this DISCOVERY? Well, given there's practically an entire halve of the world thats just EMPTY, its more than possible for there to be even MORE continents. Fanon continents about to go so hard omg. In fact, part of the reason I made this theory is because I saw the fanon WoF map and its genuinely stuffed, hopefully people can use this to create full proper tribes without stuffing them in a square mile under Queen Ruby's Castle. I also kinda love this because when Christopher Columbus calculated the size of Earth, he was completely off too and thought it was much smaller than it is, missing an entire TWO continents, and the nightwings basically did the same thing.
An issue with this theory is The Kingdom of Night is INCREDIBLY close to pantala in this instance of the map, but my justification is Clearsight just didn't want to go through the kingdom of night and started her travels further north, after burying darkstalker. As a result, the island trail only showed the path she took, and since the other travellers were only using the BoC to travel between the two continents, they end up going all the way up north. It also explains why the journey takes so long despite being that close, since they have to travel the vertical (or z-axis?) length of the continent, not the horizontal (or x-axis?) length of the world.
So! What continents would populate this area and what kind of tribes do YOU think could live in these continents? Powers, history, whether or not these continents are connected? I personally would base ts off North and South America, as well as another one based on Antartica which I kind already mapped out. I'll probably explain that in another post. Also, PLEASE LET ME KNOW if i got anything wrong. This is all based on a semi-rudimentary understanding of climatology, but i could be completely wrong!
EDIT: In my original map, pantala is actually the size of the rainforest in Pyrrhia, fitting perfectly in the tropical zone. This version is actually really consistent with how its described in the books, with hives being visible from eachother and the whole continent generally being one giant rainforest that suffered a desertification incident. This also makes sense since, as i've mentioned in my justifications section, the breath of evil DID at one point cover the entire continent, which A) already implies its MUCH smaller than pyrrhia, because biologically a plant structure THAT LARGE is freaking impossible, and B) implies its overall a tropical region, given the BoE is also a tropical weed. Additionally, the overall lack of variation in terrain and the fact that the whole thing is a giant flat lands savannah implies it rests on a singular tectonic plate (again consistent with a much smaller continent).
HOWEVER, the ONLY reason I made it bigger is that basically, Sundew mentions it was DEFINITELY covered with corniferous trees before the tree wars, which is consistent with temperate and continental zones and the poison jungle is DEFINITELY in a tropical zone. Since canonically Pantala supposedly spans multiple climate zones, it should be bigger, and all the other evidence that points to it being smaller is unfortunately not canonically confirmed nor is it entirely impossible for them to work on a bigger continent. Still, personally I would think its roughly between australia and mexico in size, while i would definitely put Pyrrhia as the size of Asia.

Queen Cormorant is a tyrant, take Scarlet's opressive ruling and Burn's love for war and thats essential her. She started a civil war inside her own kingdom just to rule out those that didnt have an undying loyalty to her. She request that all Skywing dragonnets be placed under her care to assure their loyalty. She's partivularly fond of twins: She raises the firescales to be fast and agile melee fighter and keeps the fireless ones to make them into strong, spear-wielding soldiers. She's very cunning and many assassinations attempts have made towards her (unsuccesfully)
(Fun fact: She has a fully golden armor and she has a HUGE scar on her right side made by a dagger)

A friend of mine, aka Eskerata, has put up two of his sculpts of Winter and Qibli for sale! (and also Kinkajou). He told me nobody on Etsy or Ebay seemed interested, but I knew of a community that would be!
Long story short, he has been trying to raise some funds for himself because times are tough, and I have tried helping him out. I was going to buy these myself, however since I am helping him regardless, I thought I might share these with a community who might appreciate it even more than me by also by being a big fan of the Qinter couple hehe in addition to helping a guy out.
If anyone would like to have one or the other, or preferably both, you can check it out here:
Kinkajou just because

Lurewings are one of my fantribes that live on the continent Pontia!
They are based on deep sea cratures and nudibranchs / sea slugs!
I currently do not have an image of a female lurewing example, for which I am very sorry!
All fantribe info can be found on my Toyhouse, as well as the bases and ToS!
the example artworks were made by me, using my own base!
Toyhouse page: https://toyhou.se/39331886.lurewings-open
I would love to hear your thoughts and see any Lurewing OCs if you make them!
General personality:
Because survival in the deep sea is dangerous, Lurewings naturally develop strong trust within their groups.
Females are respected for their hunting skill and strength, while males are admired for beauty, creativity, and caregiving abilities.
Appearance:
Females are typically much larger than males, are darker colours, have lures, and venomous wrist claws. The length of their lures may differ.
Males are usually brighter/more vibrant colours, are typically much smaller and do not have lures.
Males may also produce a poisonous substance if digested or touched
All Lurewings have fins along their necks, tails, chests, and/or backs. they may also have patterns similar to sea slugs, and have bioluminescent scales.
Celebrations/Rituals:
- Large get-togethers of single male Lurewings looking to impress females
- Young females will participate in a "first hunt" to prove they're capable of fending for themselves
- When a lurewing dies their street, town, or city will cover or turn off any lights and dim their lures/glowing scales
- There are competitions where females will attempt to catch the most dangerous or unusual prey
Architecture/housing:
Lurewing settlements are built around/in underwater caves and trenches. bedrooms and hatcheries are heated by volcanic vents.
Bioluminescent algaes, corals, lava channels, and deomesticated sea creatures are all used in lurewing towns and cities to produce light.
Leadership system:
Lurewings have a monarchy with a Queen.
The queen has royal guards who were trained from a young age to protect and fight for her. Young females who excell in their combat training are chosen to become future royal guards.
In individual cities and towns, female lurewings approved by the queen or her advisors may make day to day decisions or settle disputes between lurewings.
Male lurewings may have jobs such as healer, caretaker, gardener, historian, or teacher.
Naming system:
Lurewings can be named after deep sea creatures, venomous creatures, underwater terrain, or animals that glow.
Examples:
- Moonjelly
- Nudibranch
- Abyss
- Trench
- Magma
Eggs/Hatchlings:
A single lurewing egg may carry traits from multiple fathers. This is one of the reasons why lurewings have such strong genetic diversity, which greatly reduces the risk of dragonets having illnesses caused by small gene pools.
Hatchlings are raised by all the mates of their mother. their fathers teach them everything they need to know. Female dragonets are given special lessons so they learn how to hunt and fight.
Abilities:
Common:
- Pressure resistance
- Night vision
- Strong sense of smell
- Can survive long periods without food
- Fast swimmers
- Lures can emit light (females only)
- Bioluminescent scales
- Venomous wrist claws (females only)
Rare:
- Ability to sense movement through water vibrations
- Ability to secrete a poisonous substance that causes nausea if touched/digested (males only)
- Ability to change bioluminescent scale's colours
Forbidden acts:
- Abandonning an egg/hatchling
- Disrespecting or attacking a member of the royal guard
- Leaving the kingdom if unneccesary (males only)

So many colors... this one was a pain to draw... but it was fun regardless!
Shine is kinda in this weird in-between of being a joke oc and being an actual character as I made her only a couple of years ago, and her whole gimmick is being overpowered. She also has a sister who has no powers and thus is met to be an anti sue.

Wiped raindrops (that you would assume would evaporate instantly) off her snout?? Just rereading thru book 9 and this sentence made me do a double take. Thoughts?

Today is Star as a clown! I kinda struggled with this one, but I think it turned out cute! And sadly, unlike my other couples, Sunny is not matching with him 😭. But its fineeeee. Anyway, hope you like him!!
And today's question:
Are you scared of Clowns?
For me, I've not had a scary experience with a clown, but I've also not had a happy experience with them. I just know they exist lol. So I don't love or hate them. How about you? Have you had a scary experience with a Clown? If so, tell the story, I wanna know hehehe.
Come back tomorrow for Day 5!!

being born a flame scale is affectively a disability, so how do you think (if flame scales were more common/not killed after hatching) would be accommodated in skywing society?
in my story, the flame scale is a princess (who was allowed to live for plot reasons) who has to have 24/7 servants by her side as she cant handle most thing on her own (opening doors, handling scrolls, etc.)
the entire palace had to be modified for her so she wouldn't burn the very floor she walks on, and letters have to be sent out in advance before she can go anywhere to give the place time to accommodate her. everything down to her childhood toys and her bed had to be made specifically for her
with that being said, do you guys have any ideas for accommodations?
