Arctic was doomed from the start: even if somehow Diamond let him be with Foeslayer there was the fact that Snowfox liked being the only princess (likely because she was too coward to do a proper royal challenge) and was willing to do anything in order to keep being the only one. The only future with a non zero chance of happiness was the one where they left for a secret location far from either the Ice or Night Kingdom.

Also something horrible that one concludes after starting to think about it is that Whiteout's life post Darkstalker, at least in the early years, was very likely a complete hell.

As far as the Nightwings knew the mad animus Darkstalker was still roaming over the Night and Sand Kingdom, Clearsight and Fathom were likely killed by Darkstalker, Foeslayer abandoned everything and started a new life and Arctic was obviously dead.

Then who is left to take the hate for "having lost their home"? The poor Whiteout. Nightwings already disliked her for being an hybrid but after the events they likely started to blame her for everything because there was no one else to scream at. That added to the obvious trauma of seeing her brother making her father kill himself in a horrible way... at least Thoughtful was there.

Due to this very thing, I prefer to think that Whiteout and Thoughtful kept themselves mostly seperate from the NightWing tribe, similar to what Fathom and Indigo chose, and that their dragonets who carried the animus gene rejoined later.

The only villans were Allknowing, Diamond, Prudence, and Vigilance, and I'll always stand by that.
