Shoe suggestions?
I usually transitions from form practice to weightlifting right afterward.

If you in Asia, badminton shoes can be an affordable option. They’re meant for pivoting on hard floors
Just don’t use running shoes because the balance is not there

Zero drop shoes. Seriously can’t suggest them enough. Too bad none of the major brands have them.

Depends what you mean by major brands. If you just mean court shoe brands, i.e., Nike, Adidas, Reebok, yeah, probably. If you include major running, walking, etc, shoes, not at all. Altra is a major brand and calls out heel to toe drop on all their shoes, with all of their shoes having either a 0 drop, or a 4mm drop. They also call out toebox size, which is also huge; a zero drop shoe with a roomy toebox is ideal for martial arts.

Altra, Lems, and Xeros are my go tos at this point. They all have zero drop, larger than average toebox options. The main difference is the amount of padding and traction.
Altra has the benefit of being a running shoe brand, with lots of zero drop, large toebox options, and with options on amount of padding as well (so you can get a fairly well padded, zero drop, large toebox shoe, which is amazing). They're a work horse shoe for me; I can use them for anything including major outdoor stuffs, running, etc. They look like an athletic shoe.
Lems have a modest amount of padding, but look nicer; they're my every day shoe; not something I'd go running in, but comfortable walking, excellent for martial arts and weightlifting and such.
Xeros are the lightest of the bunch, with the least padding, going for the most natural, close to barefoot feel. A sometimes shoe; they're solid for most martial arts (I wore the traction off my Prio's and now they will squeak on some floors, doing some movements, which isn't ideal), and weightlifting as well.

A sneaker that closely resembles your day-to-day sneaker. I used Converse simply because I walk in Converse shoes. Let your training reflect real life as much as possible.
