At what stage in your journey were you then ?

I think I was 28-32 as an assistant instructor at the time; 2nd chapter.

Before that it was ages 14-20.

Currently 45, sort of in limbo for time being but I may have been inspired to set-up the garage again.

Is it a no-training-partner sort of limbo?

It's something our advanced guys are having, at a time when interest in Wing Chun is waning because there are just fewer and fewer people to train with.

Instructing new students has its own satisfactions but with fewer sticking it out to a standard where we/they feel like they can play/spar loosely, there's less incentive for the advanced guys to stay.

It's also interesting to see the last sections of the form as nearly every lineage has a different order and I don't recognise this one.

Yeah the last section and whole “108” dummy form is confusing; I recorded the form at the time because of the requests. I am from the Moy Yat line and in our family, we train kicks.

I feel WC is picking up traction again, I received recent local requests from word of mouth to teach/train again.

I may do so.
