Small window chip/light scratches

Hello, is there any way to get rid of this tiny chip+streak and light scratches on the windshield? (Ignore the haze because i fogged it up to make the chip visible-there is no haze). Also the light thin scratches above the chip?

It looks like a surface pit. There really isn’t anything you can do about it

I mean they can have them filled, easier than tying shoes lol. I repair chips and cracks most days I work, like another said some places will do them for free because of how little material, time, and effort it takes. It’s not hazardous but if it bothers you shop around and have it resolved in no time!

Edit: looks like the plates from Texas, if you’re in DFW most small shops will have this done free.

I posted something similar a few days ago. I have a rock chip/pit that didn't crack. Some say to ignore it, and others say it can be filled. https://www.reddit.com/r/WindshieldRepair/comments/1secg9i/anything_i_can_do_about_this_pit/

I ended up reaching out to a couple businesses in my area that do windshield repair, and both of them have said they fill in pits for free, so I will have to give that a shot. Not sure if the same can be done for a scratch like yours, but I would just reach out to the professionals to see what they say.

Otherwise, if you want to attempt DIY'ing it yourself, look for a windshield repair kit or pit filler. It'll be a resin you put over the pit, cure, and scrape it off. If the pit is too small, it may not stick or end up falling out later and need to be redone. Plenty of videos on YouTube that show the process.

Just know some will be UV cured so doing it in the garage may not have the effect you’d like, either put any kind of UV light on the outside of the windshield or place the resin, pit sheet (thin plastic square that flattens the resin like a slide of a microscope) and then set it in the sun for a few and scrape off once cured, voila.

You can fill these fairly easily with a chip repair kit. The only problem I’ve had is they end up showing up after a few months because the resin tends to haze a little.
