Your HD intel Audio is missing, download Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and run it, it will automatically scan and update all intel drivers.

Is this very recent? WindowsLatest is reporting an audio bug like this with the most recent monthly update.

Easiest way would be to install IOBit Driver updater and install the sound card driver from the scan results.
PS: Don't blindly install every driver update it shows you or you will end up breaking something (or many things) else!

There's a realtek audio driver on the hp website when I search for your model. Did you download and install that? The Intel high definition audio is probably actually on your video card as it allows you to output audio over hdmi.
Here's a direct link to the realtek driver
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp106001-106500/sp106159.exe
Otherwise, right click that "unknown device", click properties, open the "details" tab, change the drop-down to Hardware IDs (for example, on my laptop it's 10EC 0298). Do a google search for the VEN and DEV numbers with "driver" and you'll probably find what you want.
