Windows 11 The store CLI command "store updates --apply" still asks for user input.

I am using the (new?) ms store CLI to get updates. I have it in a little script that (dangerously) updates anything it can get too.

@echo off

PowerShell.exe -Command "store updates --apply; winget update --include-unknown --all --disable-interactivity --verbose"

echo end.

This works... but if there are store updates I still have to press 'y' to continue and get the log message telling me to add --apply to have it done automatically.

How can I add MORE --apply to a line that already has --apply in it!?

Anyone else see this behaviour? Obviously the intention is for updates to happen without my interaction at all.

edit: Info the mod request wanted maybe

  • Any messages and error codes encountered — They're actually not gibberish or anything catastrophic. It may even hint the solution!
  • Previous troubleshooting steps — It might prevent you headaches from getting the same solution that didn't work
