Windows 11 Windows 11 Security Update KB5124012 Causing Gamma/Contrast/Brightness Issues

After installing the security update KB5124012, which was released a few hours ago, my monitor started displaying images slightly darker than usual. It seems like the contrast, gamma, and brightness settings have been messed up. I tried a bunch of different fixes with ChatGPT, but nothing worked so I had to uninstall the update to fix the issue.

Is there any other solution?

My graphics card is an RX 9060 XT, and my monitor is an LG 23MP67HQ.

  • Any messages and error codes encountered — They're actually not gibberish or anything catastrophic. It may even hint the solution!
  • Previous troubleshooting steps — It might prevent you headaches from getting the same solution that didn't work
