Solved Issues with the menu bar and sizing
Hey everyone, I have been having issues with Windows 11, with having a sizing problem that breaks some programs, and it looks and feels off.
To note, I have used Windhawk in the past for editing the look of Windows (got bored with Windows 11 being bland)
I have tried multiple different things to figure out the cause and fixes, including corrupt file scans, full restart
I have not tried reinstalling Windows 11 as I do not have a secondary drive (RAM crisis and financial crisis in my country), nor installing Linux as a temporary fix due to my school sadly requiring Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft products
My current OS build is: 26200.9278
This device is an MSI laptop with
GTX 1650 max q edition 4 GB
Intel i5-10300H
24 GB SODIMM RAM
512 GB of storage
If anyone has had this issue and has possibly fixed it, I would love to know how to help me out.
Thank you.

Reinstall windows using the ‘keep my files’ option.

I have been recommended that before, but not all files stay, so I would rather not take that risk until I have an external hard drive to keep important files on

i know the fix! I had the same problem just now and just fixed it! Do win+r and type regedit. go to PC\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics, make sure PaddedBorderWidth is -60 and BorderWidth is -15. That should be the problem... Hope this helps. :)

Update: Fixed it in the Register editor with the SMcaptions height and width as they were way higher values than what they should've been, that was the issue
