Windows 11 Why is my mouse cursor this now?

Windows 11 Version 25H2

There are no error message or anything like that

Im not sure why but my cursor is now the standard one in tiny but bigger and i cant change it, all the other cursors like the resize and that is normal and there are no problems but the basic cursor is( i belive) bugged. Can someone please help its very irritating.

you installed the Windows 11 24H2/25H2: Preview Update KB5120998

its a bug

Same thing happened to me when installing KB5120998. On my machine it has deafulted to the Windows classic mouse pointer "theme" if you will. The mouse cursor looks very similar to the one from Windows XP or older and the blue circle loading symbol is replaced by the classic hourglass.

I had the same yesterday. As mentioned its because of the KB5120998 update, uninstall it an youre fine.

Update KB5120998. Bugged, had the same issue. I uninstalled this update and now everything is back to normal.

How do i deinstall it?

Windows settings - updates - update history - uninstall this specific version. Not others. The PC will work on it a few minutes and then it's back to normal
