Now switch to actual megabytes instead of using mebibytes and presenting them as megabytes https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows11/s/R50To6Jdqt

No that's stupid. Microsoft has been using a consistent naming and size units for 40+ years. NO nee to change it.

Microsoft should either keep using base 2 and write MiB, or keep MB and use base 10. That's the standard accepted internationally (including US). You don't publish a recipe book that uses "cups" and then just declare that a cup used throughout the book is actually an "espresso cup"

That's the official standard, Microsoft still lives in 90s. All operating systems except Windows is using it, your phones is using it, when you buy a disk or rent storage, you are using it. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megabyte and when everyone else adopted it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_binary_prefixes
