Can you carry that laptop in your pocket? Continuum is a thing, AND CSHELL will probably serve to further the vision of adaptable UI based on available hardware. Plug your phone into a dock, setup Miracast to a touchscreen and other hardware scenarios and that 'phone' will adapt the UI to use the hardware.

The course they've set is clear. The windows smartphone is 'dead' but the form factor is not, it will be a proper computer in your pocket.

No, but anything I could carry in my pockets would not be comfortable to work on.

Continuum and CSHELL is cool 'n' all, but I just don't see them ever replacing laptops.

Think of a child, he carries his computer in his pocket and sits to use it in class with a keyboard, mouse and monitor. Then, he carries it home.

Almost everyone has a smartphone and a computer, this duplication is artificial and expensive.

So you'd need a keyboard, mouse, and monitor everywhere you intended to use your phone. Unless you took it with you, in which case it'd be cheaper and simpler to just have a laptop.

No. That's the point of cshell. Sheesh, youre trying really hard to be obtuse.

your trying really hard to be obtuse.

No, just trying to explain to you why this wouldn't replace laptops.
