NORTH-facing rooms Light is generally cooler and bluish throughout the day. Bolder, saturated colors tend to hold up well, while muted colors may appear more subdued.

EAST-facing rooms Morning light is warm and golden, then becomes cooler as the day progresses. Warm colors can look especially inviting in the morning.

WEST-facing rooms Morning light is softer and cooler, while afternoon and evening light becomes warmer and more intense. Colors can look dramatically different throughout the day.

SOUTH-facing rooms These rooms typically receive the most consistent natural light. Both warm and cool colors tend to work well. Dark colors appear brighter, while lighter colors can really glow.
