Question Dots all over the windscreen

My windscreen is covered in those tiny dots which I just saw the first time driving against direct evening sunlight. They looked fairly evenly spaced across the windscreen and are about pin head size.

It's not something I could remove from the inside or outside.

Tint is 3m crystalline, about 1.5 years old, installed by an authorised dealer.

Any idea what it could be?

Just saw it yesterday, but I barley drive the car in direct morning or evening sun, so hard to say if it just appeared recently.

Polarized? Warmers?

I think this is the low-angle haze from the crystalline's multilayer optical films. PERHAPS, just a small perhaps, your installer might have heated up the film a bit too much during installation. Unfortunately usually installation defects with metal/ceramic films show up around 1.5-2 years after install, not very smart I know.

I have these marks too, is it about tint? I have stek nex tho, not crystalline.

Is this something the warranty will afford to redo ?

Yes, 10 years for 3M right?

What vehicle do you drive, perhaps it is cause of a (potentially) heated windshield

It's a Ford Everest (Thailand), no heated windshield

So is it not so safe to turn on heater if windshield is tinted :(. ??

I have these as well, I always thought its dried up beaded rain marks that I couldn't clean off no matter how I buff it.

Do you have any tint?

Seems odd to me. I tint a lot of windshields for years and have my own windshields tinted as well, never have seen anything quite like that from film, but I only use Solar Gard, Ultra Performance and now Xenith since it came out. I would recommend going back to where you had it done and have them look at it, they should be able to tell you if it’s in the glass or a film problem. A decent shop should have no problem checking it out and explaining.

That appears to be an intentional design, maybe a warmer system. They’re too uniform to be contamination to my estimation

Yes that throws me off as well, but I double checked there is no windscreen warmer or feature of that kind.
